So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Something is Cooking at Culinary School Melbourne

By Ramon Nelson

## What exactly are cooking schools?

Cooking schools help you learn how to cook in a way that's fun and interactive. You'll be taught how to prepare several delicious meals, and you can take the recipes home with you.

## What if I have never cooked before?

Cooking schools seek to instill a love of cooking in their students, especially in novice chefs! The teachers are adept at making every student feel comfortable, and you'll be whipping up delicious meals in no time.

## What kind of food will I learn to cook?

So you are curious as to what cooking classes Melbourne has to offer. Almost all schools teach casual dining and may provide a wide array of quick and easy meals. If you'd like to be taught a particular style of authentic cuisine, search out a specialized school, such as:

- Greek

- Japanese

- Spanish

- Italian

- Southeast Asian Cuisine

- Vegetarian or Vegan Cooking

## Are the meals healthy?

Most cooking schools emphasize using fresh, local produce in their recipes. These meals are not processed or full of preservatives, so they're much healthier than typical restaurant food. The cooking school can provide you with the nutritional information for each recipe you'll prepare. They may also offer a "healthy eating" menu featuring foods that are low in fat, salt, or sugar.

## Are the classes expensive?

You'll find most classes priced under $100. For this fee you'll learn to prepare several complete meals, including an appetizer, main course, and a complementary dessert. You'll have the recipes in hand so you can prepare them again and again. You'd spend about the same amount eating out three times, but having nothing to show for it except an expanding waistline! The money spent is a wise investment.

## How can I book cooking class?

You can contact one of the numerous schools for cooking classes Melbourne has to offer. You'll be able to locate them by doing an online search, or by turning to your local yellow pages. Menus generally vary week to week, so be sure that the day you choose features some of your favorite meals on the list of options.
