So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Anklet Jewelry Brand: Silver.Ag

By Jan Pavlik

Jewelry and accessories for female feet has been a common practice in India, Egypt, and the Middle East for centuries, and these vary from henna art to anklet bracelets. Ankle chains, or commonly known as anklet, also became popular in the West in the late twentieth century, and remain as distinct fashion statements today.

Anklets have many different forms, and they are usually available as flexible designs and inflexible designs. Both designs are quite popular as these are sometimes accessorized with various semiprecious stones or different types of patterns for the chains, sometimes even additional chains that join onto toe rings for added effect. Some of the less pricey anklets are simply well designed beads sewn together for a totally different style, whereas some of the higher priced anklets can be formed from gold or silver.

The inflexible designs are simple flat metal sheets that are given shape, making them look sort of like a cuff or bangle type. These can be quite attractive although some may give that "slave" look when bought as plain sheets or solid metal rings with little to no stone or chain accessories.

The anklets that follow the flexible design are the most commonly fashionable, as makers of these can be a little more creative playing with chains and charms as well as semiprecious or precious stones to attract attention. Some of these flexible anklets can be so intricately combined that they almost look like the cuff-like inflexible ones as they are a combination of chains almost knitted together into a solid pattern.

The accents added to most anklets are there to catch attention or to make a statement, as sometimes these are also fitted with tiny little bells to give a tinkling sound when walking. This is somewhat sexually alluring to observers as they cause attention to be given to the wearer when she walks by. Contemporary fashion usually finds these foot accessories being worn to accent short, summer outfits and pretty footwear. They are also used to add statement to formal wear that requires little to no accessory, but still needs to have that extra unique touch that attributes elegant distinctive taste to the wearer.

The fact that these jewelry pieces are so uniquely placed on the upper portion of the feet makes them very eye catching and attractive to many who notice them. Regardless of ornamentation or simplicity in design, they have always had the same impact over many generations.
