So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Various Applications For Mezzanine Flooring For Offices

By Katie Hines

Mezzanine floors are a great way to increase space for your business without a permanent increase to your operating costs. Around the world businesses are looking for all kinds of ways through which they can reduce costs and maximize on output from their resources. Employees are taking on multiple roles, companies are also venturing into multiple fields along with many other measures aimed at ensuring there is no wastage of resources. A mezzanine floor borrows its concept from storied buildings though they are constructed internally within a floor of a building. The intention being to productively use the open and idle spaces that buildings with high ceilings have but is often unused.

In the past mezzanine flooring was mostly used as storage. There were all kinds of things stored there and they included office supplies and equipment, tools and parts, finished products to be collected by clients as well as other inputs. With time people have moved away from the traditional use and currently mezzanine floors are being used for a wide range of purposes. There are a good number of reasons as to why businesses are putting them up. These reasons include, expanding office space. Offices constructed here can be used even by the company executives since they are usually good quality and can be finished to the standards required. Alternatively, the offices can be used by teams of specialists like the quality control team. This will work especially well for teams that require minimum disturbance when working.

Security related teams can also make excellent use of mezzanine floors. It is much easier to monitor the rest of the floor from and elevated position. Most people also find it an ideal station for their security related gadgets and controls like alarms and gates. Having a team working on the mezzanine floor means that they are much safer to call for help or respond to emergency situations when such situations arise.

Mezzanine floors are also useful in providing room for employee welfare. These are the non production activities that are meant to care for your staff but which you do not want taking up space on the main floor. You could be providing them with a changing room, lockers, lunch area, or other such facilities. Mezzanine flooring for such facilities means that you have enough room for your production while providing your employees with welfare areas that will keep them happy.

Mezzanine flooring is also often used to set up the dark rooms of photo studios or the design studios of printing shops. This will leave the main floor free to operate the shop and clients will have sufficient room where they can wait without interfering with work in progress. It is also common to find clinics where the labs are on mezzanine floors while the main floor is left for the doctors. Aside from reducing costs and saving money, having these services together with the business offers amazing convenience especially when compared to the option of having multiple locations.

Despite being used mainly for storage even to this day, mezzanine floors are taking up many more diverse uses in businesses.
