So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Cute Baby Clothes

By Sharon Pate

A newborn baby is very fragile and sensitive, and as such, should be given special consideration in when being clothed. When buying cute baby clothes, it is important to take the necessary precautions, as the clothes will come into contact a lot with the baby's skin. And if the wrong choices are made, it can lead to a number of complications.

It is important to know that not all baby clothes are made of the same fabrics and materials, and that some clothes are better than others in terms of safety. The wrong kind of materials can cause everything from simple skin irritations, to allergic reactions, and even lung problems, so it is important to be careful when purchasing baby clothes. Here are a number of things that can be checked to ensure the baby's safety.

First is to check the materials, which include the fabric and dyes used. There are fabrics that are not only hypo-allergenic, but are actually also very comfortable and beautiful. A very good example is cotton, and if the clothes are not too loose, they are perfect because it allows the skin to breathe, as well as be very comfortable for the baby.

Next things that need to be checked are clothing tags, because clothing tags can end up being irritating, not to mention, made up of a different fabric or material than the clothes. An improperly placed clothing tag, or one that is made of a fabric that is not hypo-allergenic, may cause discomfort to the baby. To fix this, tags can be removed, but not just by cutting them off, but rather, by separating the tag at the seams, removing the whole tag and making sure no piece is left behind.

Zippers also have to be checked, especially for clothes that are a bit snug and fit. Zippers have to have zipper guards, which are flaps of cloth that make sure the zipper is not in contact with the skin, which can lead to injuries. Aside from zippers, buttons also have to be checked, and any buttons present should not be loose, near the mouth, and small enough to be swallowed in the event that the baby gets a hold of them.
