So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Top 10 Tips For Bathroom Renovation

By Willie Green

There are only a few home improvement projects that are able to provide the benefits of a bathroom remodeling project. Remodeling the bathroom is a great way to add real value to your home. Another advantage of this project would be increasing the level of enjoyment for your family and for yourself.

But this is a big project and there are several things you need to consider first before you begin. These include:

Keep your eye on the ball. The bathroom remodeling project should be seen as a whole project and this is an important thing to remember. Seeing the project as a whole is very important regardless of the fact that there are small hurdles to tackle.

No remodeling project can be successful without a realistic budget. It would be a good idea to draw up an honest budget and when you do, you need to stick to it.

Make sure that you hire a reliable contractor. Remodeling the bathroom is not a do it yourself project for most people. When you hire a contractor, make sure that he has experience with plumbing and remodeling bathrooms.

Getting a detailed inspection of your bathroom before you start is important as well. A good idea would be to have a plumber inspect your bathroom for leaks and other problems before you start.

Now is your chance to be more energy efficient. Chances are you will be able to save money in the long run by installing low flow toilets, water saving showerheads and other energy efficient fixtures.

Keep it organized. Proper organization is essential to a successful bathroom remodeling project. To keep track of important deadlines, use a calendar and as you move forward you need to remain organized.

Draw your proposed bathroom design. If you want a jettub or a larger bathtub, you need to make sure that you have enough space so draw the design that you desire. You can input your design such as the furniture, flooring, fixtures, etc. by using a particular software. Either way works great.

In many modern bathrooms, storage space is at a premium. Gaining more cabinets and storage space would be great when you remodel.

Shopping around for what you need is a must in order to get the best price. Varying quite a bit between stores are the prices on the same fixtures.

A fresh coat of paint is an important and inexpensive step and can made a huge difference when the bathroom is being remodeled but a lot of people fail to do this.

It might be a good idea to go out and have fun looking at the bathrooms in show homes. All the latest trends in the marketplace is what these bathrooms have so you will be able to save time and effort in coming up with ideas yourself. This would be a great aid in the placement of fixtures and you can see, for example, how important cupboards and storage are.
