So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

By Akbar Latief

Islam is one faith that is known to be conservative and very proud of its values. These beliefs have influenced their clothing as well. From the ancient times, Muslims have always worn standard and modest garments that cover the entire shape. With the time changing, the conservative approach has relaxed slightly. Islamic wear is now extremely fashionable and elegant and it maintains the modesty at the same time.

One of the most commonly used garments by Muslim girl is a hijab. It's basically a head apparel that protects the entire head, face, and neck. Some have argued that covering the head is a sign of oppression. However the majority believes that wearing a hijab is the best way to indicate their respect for Allah. Nowadays, girl are equally comfortable in wearing hijabs at their workplace or in public. Even college females are wearing hijabs to their classes with comfort and grace.

Originally, jilbabs were dark colored in color and there was a small amount of scope as far as fashion was concerned. Though this scenario has undergone a drastic change in recent times. Popular and chic jilbabs are being designed in various colours, models, and designs. Jilbabs for students and young working professionals are vibrant and bright colours whereas older or middle-aged lady prefer black color and sober colours.

There are various methods of draping a hijab. The most standard way is to fold a square-shaped hijab into a triangle and position it on the head. It's fastened having a pin under the chin additionally, the ends hand loosely over the back. Long hijabs are too very significantly in vogue these days. They are rectangular in body and worn in a scarf-like fashion. Working professionals prefer a "one-piece" hijab. It's a tube-shaped piece of cloth in which one end is fitted over the head additionally, the other end is after that wrapped over that end around the neck and face.

This "one-piece" hijab is reasonably convenient due to the fact it is "fuss-free" and it stays intact for a long period of time.
