So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Summer looks for him

By James Jacks

Men don't always pay attention to fashion, but this is one year when they should. From classic mens shirts to light mens suits, men's fashion this summer will be sophisticated and casual chic. Any man who wants to look great should work some of this season's in trends into his wardrobe.

1. Premium denim.

Most men think their girlfriends are crazy when they spend their week's salary on a pair of jeans, but the ladies have the right idea. Premium denim lasts much longer and looks much better. It comes in a variety of cuts and designs in every price range. Recently, men have caught on to the high-quality denim trend, and it's not going out of style anytime soon.

Premium denim jeans cuts simply look much better. This summer, go for slim or boot cut jeans. Retire the super-skinny jeans from last year, but don't go too wide.

2. Polo shirts.

Polo shirts are classic. You can't go wrong with wearing one. The great thing about polos is their versatility. You can wear one on any occasion and look great. Polos are perfect for those events when you are just not sure if you are supposed to dress casual or formal.

Every man should have a few polos in his wardrobe. If you are feeling daring or going to a party, you can wear unconventional shades like pink or blue. Pink is not just for women anymore, and many men look great wearing it.

3. Wear blue.

Blue was the most frequently seen colour on runways during fashion week. Blue blazers, shirts, trousers, and shorts were in almost every collection. Many designers paired them with orange, but you don't have to do that to benefit from this trend.

Choose some pieces that are navy blue in colour. Blazers are very trendy this summer. When it gets too hot outside, throw on a pair of navy blue cotton shorts.

4. Wear white.

White is a great colour for summer. Pick long-sleeved white shirts that are made out of light material, such as linen. These can look formal when the sleeves are down or casual if you roll them up to your elbows. White keeps you much cooler, and it looks great with a tan.

Grab a pair of white trousers as well. They are perfect for a weekend getaway or a romantic walk on the beach. Give your jeans a rest every once in a while and throw on a pair of white linen trousers. They are extremely comfortable and keep you cool when the heat wave hits.

5. Wear suits.

Men's suits aren't just for the colder months. This is a classic trend that will never go out of style. You can transition it into summer by buying a suit made out of light materials or lighter colours. Men look great in suits, and you shouldn't give them up just because it's hot outside. You don't have to stick with the classic black suit. Try a lighter colour like camel or beige. Light grey also looks great in the summer.
