So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Is Creatine Monohydrate Worth Using?

By Jared Silver

I can remember the first time I tried it, and it was well over a decade ago.

I was hoping that it would bring me the huge muscle gains advertised in so many magazines and advertisements, and many friends of mine were keen to the idea of using it too.

When compared with taking something artificial that might promise that mass would be built, taking creatine, which is a natural protein already produced by the body, does not seem as dangerous.

Let's talk about some of the pros and cons of creatine because arguments can surely be made on both points. In the end, it is up to you to decide whether or not it is right for you. Speaking positively, it has been proven scientifically that your muscles will recover a lot quicker when you take it. Just exactly what does that mean?

It means that you will not be as tired as you normally would be when lifting weights for a longer time. This will result in an increased lean muscle mass along with strength gains because you will be putting forth extra effort when you workout which will help with building mass.

In a nutshell, creatine does indeed work. Just be sure to work out consistently in order to get the best results from it, or your time will be wasted. Looking to the negative side of this, you can get dehydrated from taking it. So, your water consumption needs to be increased during the middle of a cycle of creatine.

Some people also believe that many of the gains you end up making have to do with the water weight that the supplement adds. They also believe that this gives them a bloated look. While it's true that your body will retain more water while on it, this doesn't tell the whole story. You'll be putting on a combination of both muscle and water weight, so you'll still have results to show for it no matter what.

What it comes down to is this: deciding which way to go is definitely just your decision.

A good approach may be to try it in moderation before committing to larger servings.
