So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Casual Attire for Work - Do's and Don'ts

By Gwen Simpson

There are casual clothes and there's corporate casual clothing. Not all casual clothes can be worn to the office as part of a corporate casual dress code.

Even on casual Fridays, one needs to appear like a professional, with authority as well as a individual who could be trusted to perform the task properly.

What does not count as corporate casual? Sneakers and sweatpants have no place in a corporate casual dress code. They are casual and very comfortable to wear, but they are too laidback to be worn to the office. Wearing jeans depends on the dress code of the particular office. Some offices allow their employees to wear jeans while some do not. Some, nevertheless, do let their workers wear jeans on casual Fridays. Wearing flip-flops to the office is also not acceptable, even on Fridays. Although flip-flops are really comfy and are great to wear at home or to the beach, you definately do not want to convey disrespect to your co-workers or bosses.

Clothing that happen to be too tight or too short and revealing really should not be worn to the workplace either. So, really mini-skirts and short pants can not be considered as proper corporate casual dress code. Tube tops, halter tops, spaghetti-strapped blouses and any top made out of sheer, see-through fabric can not be worn to the workplace either, unless of course included is a jacket, a blazer or even a cardigan to put on above the blouse.

For the sake of practicality, one ought to purchase corporate casual clothes within the 5 fundamental colours that may be mixed and matched with each other. For all those who don't know, the 5 fundamental colours utilized in corporate attire are navy blue, brown, black, maroon and dark green. You will not need to have a great deal of corporate casual clothes so long as what you have is of good high quality and may be mixed and matched.
