Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

If you are trying to decide on what room to remodeling first you should always choose the bathroom or the kitchen. They ill add the most value to your home and are the most frequently used rooms in your home. One of the most important aspects of your remodeling your kitchen or bathroom is the material you use for the floor and countertop. You have a lot of options which all have their benefits and their cons.

Granite is among the most popular materials to use in a kitchen and bathroom remodeling because it is so beautiful, among other benefits. It is a very durable material to use and it is heat resistant. Having a heat resistant countertop is ideal because you can place hot item on it without having to worry about hurting the countertop. This is perfect for any kitchen.

Marble is a natural stone just like granite and it is also a great looking material. It is very expensive which is one of its main drawbacks, but it also isn't as versatile as granite. You will find that marble it more widely used in bathroom than kitchens.

Tile is also very widely used and it great because it has a huge variety. There are a lot of colors, sizes, and materials to choose from. If you ever crack a tile it is easy to replace and granite even comes in tiles. Using granite tiles can save you money on a granite countertop but still provide the amazing look granite gives. Tile can be used on both floors and counters and is used in bathrooms and kitchens as well.

You may be trying to decide on what is best for you but the first thing to figure out is your budget. Granite may be nice but if you cannot afford it then you should cross it off the list or wait until you can. Once you decide on your budget and how much money you are spending you can begin choosing the right material for your remodel.
