So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Accessorize In The Summer Sun

By Rebecca Lucas

Compiling the perfect outfit this summer in women's designer fashion will inevitably mean adding those style-affirming accessories in well chosen layers, to find that look that is uniquely 'you'.

Take it back to basics and adorn your feet with the latest in summer footwear, think accessory rather than just practical to make the most of your look this season. Flip-flip favourites Havaianas are inevitably back, but also note-worthy are British Firetrap with inspiring fresh designs, the powerful eye catching hues of Ed Hardy and leaders in high-colour, Missoni. For smarter occasions add a little height without loosing comfort in the retro-inspired Swedish brand Hasbeens sandal with back strap and peep toe. Ballet pumps are roaring back to life with animal print designs from Tony Burch and Lanvin while Roberto Cavalli and K Jacques St Tropez go sultry with glitzy leather roman sandals, for the sea-worthy sailoress wedges have been reborn in vibrant new colours and bead detail from Michael by Michael Kors and Asos, while deck shoes also give a nod to the nautical from labels YMC and N.D.C.

Hosiery heats up with hot hues and passionate patterns that will leave you aching for a chance to show them off this summer. Falke opt for luxury, Gipsy for sexy sass and socks from Ashi Dashi show off their amusing socks alongside Happy Socks also bringing some fun back into women's fashion.

For the curvy girl, a waist belt is an accessory must have that can add shape - and sparkle - to your look, Timo Weiland brings belts to the market in flower designs, landscape prints and inkblot patterns, while the Bonita belt comes braided from Parisian label Sessun.

Bags are also a great chance to make a statement, with designs that reflect the season trends and high colour flair for fun Paul's Boutique embraces the nautical, Alexander McQueen's pink and red clutch with diamante embellishment and the cacophony of colour from Proenza Schouler's range of bags. Tartan is also ticking over nicely thanks to Vivienne Westwood and the Anna Wallet range from DVF.

Bracelets are being represented by over-sized cuffs studded and embellished in crystals or seen in brass, gold and silver-plates from Phillipe Audibert and Aurlie Bidermann. While on the other wrist, time pieces are no longer willing to be the quietest of accessories as the neon designs of the Toy and Triwa watches stand out excitedly. Sunglasses are doing the same; dazzling in a new range of patterns to adorn the classic Wayfarer from RayBan and Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lennon-inspired rounds from Cutler and Gross or coloured lenses of retro 80's favourites Sunpocket.

Finish the look with jewellery from Bijoux Heart, Yves Saint Laurent and Losselliani that combines embellished styles and a choice of tones to adorn your neck and a range of choice headwear to complete your style. Matthew Williamson, Alice by Temperley and D&G bring forward headbands in star-embellished, 70s inspired and feather detail respectively, while over-sized straw hats are a well-suited friend for any sun-dweller from Juicy Couture, Prada and Eugenia Kim, Seeberger's open-weave trilby is also proving a season essential along with Sessun's floral Rosabonheur summer hat.
