So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Common Food Items Can Typically Have Side-Effects, So Be Careful

By Ben Mester

In today's world where ingredient lists are nearly as pronounceable as old English, it's important in order to find out what at least a few of the common foods are that you're probably consuming on a regular basis. Many types of foods have simple, cheap fillers that keep the costs low and are easily absorbed and converted into glucose and starch by the digestive system.

But a number of these ingredients are not natural and can cause allergic reactions and other complications. One common thing which has gotten quite a lot of attention in recent years has been gluten. Most healthy persons are trying in order to stay away from products that contain gluten because of its many adverse effects. Before gluten, MSG was hot on the watch list.

But why eat a product for years before it gets officially recognized as unsafe? Why not educate yourself now about the various different ingredients you're eating, so you can make an informed decision on what forms of foods you will prepare for yourself. There are still lots of potentially harmful ingredients in many of the foods we eat.

Many artificial sweeteners, for example can come with a spread of side effects. I just recently read the side-effects list on Truvia, and it was just about a mile long. Artificial sweeteners are in almost everything nowadays, even being used in products like kid's vitamins. So in order to keep you and your family healthy, why don't you do a bit of research about the common foods you eat.

I recently heard a report saying the life expectancy of the most recent generation actually could be less than the life expectancy of the 20 to 30 year old generation. Though this is speculative, many people are growing extraordinarily sceptical of the vast variety of artificial compounds in our diets. With the huge amount of prescriptions people take combined with all the artificial compounds present in foods, people are fearful that the human body just can't handle the load over a lengthy period of time. So educate yourself and make sure you're keeping your diet healthy.
