So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Diamond Engagement Rings: The 3 Caring Myths You Must Know

By Ilechukwu Magnus

Caring for your engagement ring can be confusing, especially with some of the misinformation and silly myths surrounding this process. There are but few things you could do to ensure that your diamond engagement ring retains its beauty and dignity.

Engagement Rings- The Popular Myths About Diamond Engagement Rings

A lot of people have come to understand that they can actually take care of their diamond engagement ring at home on their own. Many people take it that this can save them money, but it will actually take more on the long run. Here are some of the things you could do to care for your diamond engagement ring.

* The Toothpaste Myth- Many people believe that toothpaste can actually be used to clean diamond rings. They do this by using their preferred toothpaste and a bristled tooth brush to scrub the ring and diamond. Why the owner might be seeing some element of cleanliness, it could cause a lot of damage. Toothpaste is abrasive and may scratch the gold. The kind of toothpaste you use can also leave build-up on the prongs and under, making your precious metal appear lifeless.

* Household Cleaners- Some individuals recommend using regular household cleaners like bleach and ammonia to clean rings. Avoid this two, even at the fact that they may seem harmless. If your diamond contains other substances that couldn't accommodate such chemicals, a reaction that may squeeze life out of your diamond may be triggered. Certain cleaners contain toxic chemicals that are not compatible with metals.
* The Boiling Water Myth- Another home remedy used sometimes is boiling water. A lot of people take it that boiling water help to wash off dirt from jewelleries. This too is a myth and should be avoided.

Sparkling Engagement Rings- Proper Care For Your Diamond Jewellery

It is necessary to care for your diamond engagement rings. If you allow build ups on your diamond they could actually cause it to lose its natural sparkle. The build up, however, is temporary. If you take care of it properly, you can easily bring it back to its lost glory. Even when you have to pay regular visits to your jeweller, you can use jewellery cleaners and polishing in-between cleanings. Your jeweller will not only clean your jewellery, but may polish the gold and check the prongs holding your diamond to make sure they are not worn or damaged.

A Few More Mistakes To Avoid With Your Engagement Rings

* When removing your rings, make sure you do not place them in harms way. Many women take off their rings while they are doing dishes, washing their hands in public places, or performing other tasks. If placed in the wrong place, you can lose the diamond down the sink. They could also be lost if removed in the public.

* Many experienced jewellers never advice customers to use ultrasonic devices. While their powerful vibrations work well for loosening tough dirt, they can also cause your stones to loosen, if they were not secure in the first place

* If you think that the task you are about doing might put your diamond ring at risk, it is best to remove it at first.

If you use your rings day to day, it can become so dirty and worn out. Instead of relying on home remedies, which can often damage your rings, consider spending the time and money to have them cleaned and repaired at regular intervals. Cheap Engagement Rings
