So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Reasons To Use Wheel Balancer

By Johnny Keys

When investing in a new set of tires for your vehicle, you will want to have them use a wheel balancer when mounting them for many different reasons. If the tire is not balanced, the car or truck will not ride very smoothly down the road. Because the newer cars are being made lighter, every imbalance is felt very easily.

The balance is caused by a weight difference from side to side. This could be less than an ounce. Technology is another thing that determines how well a tire will ride. Oversized tires will be more important to keep balanced. A lower profile tire will also let the driver feel every vibration from an out of balanced tire and every little bump in the road.

A hop will be created is a tire is out of balance due to static imbalance. For a dynamic imbalance, the tire will shimmy from side to side or wobble. A wheel balancer will tell the technician where a counter weight it needed to create an even balanced tire.

A tire will wear evenly and smoothly when it is properly balanced. It will make the tire last longer too. A tire needs to be balance several times over its life. Every time you hit a bump in the road or a pothole, it can affect the balance of your tires along with the alignment of your car and other things.

There are other things that can cause your vehicle to feel like it has a tire out of balance too. If the front end is out of alignment, this can cause a lot of problems. It can also cause your tires to wear more on one side that the other. This will definitely put them out of balance.

A wheel balancer will have a hard time balancing a wheel that is bent also. It is also important to rotate your tires regularly and have them balanced when this is done. Because it wears the tire when a car is driven, it can make create and imbalance.

Take into consideration all of these factors the next time you purchase tires. Let the technician use the wheel balancers to balance them. Most places will do this automatically when a different tire is mounted.
