So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Up Close and Personal with the Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi Tablet

By Aaron Block

The first iPad was met with skepticism; people believed that their laptop computers covered the same bases more than adequately. But then, the true purpose of the iPad started to become more obvious. It didn't take long before all the main suppliers of mobile phones and computers wanted in on on the strong-growing action. Tablets became the current must-have. Naturally, Dell is targeting to get a piece of the action. That is the very reason they created the Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi Tablet. In this article, we will take a look at this tablet and see if it is worth your money.

It's a good device for movies with a similar system to ipad movies downloads. It's simpler to recommend a product when the company that makes it has a good reputation - that, however, is not the case with Dell. Dell isn't actually known for creating good and reliable products. This computer manufacturer's customer service record is likewise on rather precarious ground. After your product warranty lapses, you will be billed for customer service calls to the company - at least that is what many Dell customers say. You'll discover that maybe the price of this device is lower than most, you must factor in the long-term cost of the company you're dealing with.

The Dell Streak 7 has the Android OS (this version is affectionately referrend to as Froyo), which means that it should permit you to multitask between various applications pretty easily. It's not a requirement to keep particular programs "live" in order to receive messages from the system's notification service, while at the same time listening to MP3s and keeping your GPS information up-to-date. It offers user-friendly access to your Gmail and other e-mail programs and accounts, so you won't have to be worried about whether you can be reached when you have your tablet with you.

Video chat was not included with the initial iPad offering, and it's terrific that it is with this Dell tablet. Video chat is built-in with this Dell tablet via Qik software and a camera panel facing front. However, yes, there is a caveat: a person who owns the same Streak 7 tablet, or something compatible, presents no problem - otherwise, incommunicado you will remain. So there isn't an all-encompassing video chat program available. Another good thing is that the Dell Streak 7 table features Blockbuster's On Demand service. Admittedly, however, Blockbuster's recent troubles make us think twice about giving this Dell tablet a thumbs up.

Reviews right now are few and far between, but it does look like people are wary as to the reasons why this tablet was developed. The device's functionality is severely limited through it not being able to able to interact with devices that aren't compatible with this particular Dell tablet. However, if you think you're missing out and you are interested to determine whether tablets are truly the thing for you, this tablet is an inexpensive way for you to figure it out. Bearing in mind the aforementioned caveats, ensure that you consider your purchase carefully prior to committing your money.
