So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

The Eastern Cape of South Africa

By Pascal Shalaman

South Africa's Eastern Cape is an absolutely amazing location for a holiday as it offers more things for people to try than pretty much anywhere else in the world. It is a location which is very diverse in appearance as it has lots of forests and areas of wilderness but also many cities with numerous beaches, restaurants, bars and hotels. A lot of people can't decide where they want to go or what they want to do when on holiday but with South Africa's Eastern Cape they need not worry as they can have it all.

One of the most popular things to do in the Eastern Cape is head out into the wilderness on an amazing safari to see the popular 'big five'. Here people can see Buffalo, Leopards, Lions, Rhinoceros' and elephants in their natural habitat in what makes for one of the best possible days out. Travelling through the wilderness in an open top vehicle while relaxing in the sun and seeing some of the world's most amazing animals is definitely a day to remember.

There are also lots of offshore activities for people to experience too if they want to. The Eastern Cape is well-known for being a great place to go snorkelling and diving or even surfing for something a bit more adrenaline filled. It is also an excellent place to go fishing as there are plenty of large and rare fish to be caught off the coast of the Easter Cape.

There are lots of different resorts but they are almost all as nice to stay in as each other. One of the most popular is the Eastern Cape's capital of Port Elizabeth which has numerous beaches and beach activities but lots more too. Port Elizabeth has fantastic nature reserves and botanical gardens which make a nice change from spending time at the beach.

Then there is the relatively untouched Eastern region of the Eastern Cape. This area grows very naturally and there are huge cliffs and forests which shelter some of the most beautiful beaches in all of South Africa. This area is known to be one of the best for fishing because it doesn't get a great deal of tourism.
