Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How do most people decide how they feel about shopping at any store? Most likely, the attitude and customer service skills of the sales staff would be a major factor! Most likely, when you consider whether to return to a certain business, retail store or restaurant in the future, what determines your decision is the kind of customer service you received there in the past.

What will make anyone notice you with all this competition? The answer, of course, is your superior customer service! If you are able to communicate well with your customers and make them feel appreciated, they are more likely to continue buying from you. On the other hand, if you have your business set up so that you have no personal contact with customers, people will be less likely to buy anything. If you follow these suggestions, you will be able to start giving your visitors good customer service.

When someone contacts you, make sure you answer as soon as possible. It's really best if customers don't have to wait more than a day from getting a response from you. Responses should be personal messages written by you.

If your business is relatively small and one that offers a service, it's good to give customers a way to contact you offline, such as by mail or telephone. It isn't hard to get a mailing address for this purpose, such as a rented post office box. Many people also like to communicate with Skype, which doesn't cost much to use. Having such a presence offline will make people trust you more, especially if they can easily reach you on the phone or by Skype calls.

You can set up certain hours that you will accept phone calls and publish them on your site. Then actually be at your computer during those hours. Being available to talk to people will also probably mean more sales for you, as people will feel more comfortable buying from someone they've spoken to rather than just another random website or blog.

It is a good idea to offer freebies to your customers periodically. However, don't hold out on them here by giving away something that they would not want. Say you write articles as a profession, why not send your client a free article based on something you know they are interested in? If you sell affiliate products online, check and see if the company you work with offers any "freebies" through their back office and send one of those "freebies" to the people on your list. Everyone loves a free gift, so this could be the way to ensure a future sale from them.

Some people have a harder time with technology than others. Customers will really like the added feature of getting free technical assistance, should they ask for help. It will also encourage them to recommend you to their friends. You have to have good customer service to get good word of mouth advertising. Customers will see that you are thinking about more than just how much money you can make when you offer free support. You'll increase your business this way. Customer service shouldn't only be expected for offline businesses.

When you realize that there is very little involved in offering your customers a great buying experience, you have to ask yourself why you haven't begun already? You are going to find nothing but good comes from doing these things!
