I ordered two models initial, one of which worked as marketed.
Fortunately, we had some spare wood screws available. I've had a lot of different motion sensing lights, mainly smaller sized units, this one is larger but has a lot more light than any I have tried personally so far. I am happy. The security bollard light is easy to set up, and worked just like you could anticipate with only three batteries. I searched all over the place to be sure I'd not dropped it somewhere. I simply set up six of these Hadco lighting flood lights inside and outside of the house. Be certain that you're ready for this to happen, and visit the hardware store to buy higher quality wooden screws just before installation!
I got this for my door a month ago, which did not have any wiring or lights. I mounted the walkway lights to a sizable fruit tree close to the front steps, down near the road. I cannot really complain about the security bollard light so far. We'd buy these removable bollard lights again!
You will find the option to adjust the length of time the light will be on (thirty seconds or 2 min) and the brightness of the light (low or high). The product is nice. The picture sensor stops it from turning on when the garage is illuminated during daylight or when the inside fluorescents are on. The halogen flood light I had for my driveway quit operating, so I wanted a more economical substitute. The light output is dimmer than I anticipated. You absolutely need to get the screws just right on this security bollard light, that takes just a little doing, particularly up in a tree. You will find both a 30-second setting and a 2-minute setting on the time the light stays on.
I needed to secure it better because of the wind so used a longer nail. Great deal and easy to set up. Apart from the trouble or returning them (Amazon makes it pretty simple but it still takes time), I have been happy with the units.
But soon after I leave, it turns off. The light is extremely low, less than I'd anticipated.
Powerful light, very useful in dark corners of the home or even garage, much more helpful if you want to deter burglars. I love it so much I will purchase a couple more to mount on the dark entry. However I believed I was getting a much better purchase with these features integrated. As other people have stated, the sunshine is startlingly, remarkably bright! I really hope to purchase a couple more later on, to illuminate stairway areas and garbage can locations (we have naughty raccoons) on sides of the house.

Due to what the light on the Dorcy web site said about output, I made a decision to buy these walkway lights. The walkway lights are only going to turn on in total darkness.
