This fan might be a little pricey considering that other fans out there cost so cheap now, but I have got to say this fan is really cool! I order one online a few months ago since my oscillating fan gave up on me.
In the meantime, I am going to see if I can rig up some sort of shoulder sling or something that will suit this purpose. At any rate, if you hate the heat, the Handy Cooler is the real deal -- cool relief to go. It comes with a tiny bottle to keep water. Use this on the go to refresh the sponge. For those of you who have it, you can understand that the inside of my car gets unbearably hot. To make matters worse the air does not work very well and really only cools those sitting in the front. I didn't have a thermometer to measure the temperature difference, but the air sure does feel cooler. It's amazing that it actually works!
I will try it out at the outdoor concerts this summer. This is product is very useful to me because in my city Fortaleza is very hot the most part of year. The product is quiet and about the temperature is true you can fell it the cold wind. Its cooling method is very unique and it almost feels like it has an 'air conditioning' effect. We love it and would recommend that you purchase this model if you are looking for compact and unique fan that takes up very little space. I specifically bought this for a vacation to LA and it worked like a charm! The shipping was very quick and the item came in good shape.
(I hate fiddly gadgets with all these annoying little parts). The handy cooler is odorless and gives out a very low buzz so it doesn't disturb me when I work.
After about three months it stopped working apparently the connection to the motor wasn't very good. I called the USA office and asked for a replacement and in just a couple days I had one shipped out and I only had to pay for shipping.
It's much more convenient than the gigantic squirt bottles with fans on them you can get at other places. The misting needs to be manually 'pumped' to cool, whilst the handy cooler is really a battery cooler and you can just leave it on without worrying about it.
The design and workmanship of this product is way beyond dreadful, and the pricing is criminal. I purchase this blue one on Amazon back in July. It's lightweight and the battery life is good although due to the way the air nozzle is designed, can sometimes be hard to adjust correctly so that it's facing you. Bought this mainly for camping, but I also use it indoors now and the USB jack is a great bonus to save on batteries.

The remote is a plus exactly where other followers don't have.Would suggest investing the couple of extra bucks on this unit.
