So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Top Vehicle Trends of the Upcoming Decade

By Joslyn Wardall

Automobiles over the years have evolved from a basic means of transportation to high tech, computers on wheels. Vehicles today are more advanced than even ten years ago in regard to comfort, safety and reliability, and will continue to become more advanced as time passes. Manufacturers are always adding new creature comforts, or enhanced safety features that make it very compelling to consider trading in your existing car for a new one. Some of the ways that the automobile will be different ten years from now revolve around their propulsion systems, technological advancement, and continued emphasis on passenger safety.

Today, automobiles are primarily powered by an internal combustion engine, which is reliant on gasoline to travel. With the increase in the cost of oil in recent history, look for auto manufacturers to continue to improve fuel economy in the engines that power automobiles. Increasing the fuel economy of a vehicle does several things. First off, it helps reduce reliance on oil by using less gasoline to travel the same distance as before. This, in turn, helps motorists save money on gasoline, which, in turn, helps their pocketbook. Secondly, it is helpful to the environment. By making the engine more fuel-efficient, less harmful environmental toxins to enter the atmosphere, which makes that air we breathe just a little more healthy.

While you can expect future engines to become more fuel-efficient, look for new, more advanced propulsion systems to become more prevalent. The hybrid-gas engine, which utilizes at least some electricity to increase fuel economy and reduce harmful pollutants into the atmosphere, has become more and more popular today than in previous years. Expect this trend to continue. Likewise, complete electric engines are also seen as a viable alternative in the next few years. Knowing the costs of purchasing and maintaining a vehicle is important as it can save you a substantial amount of money every month. A large portion of your monthly automobile expenses goes to your car insurance. So, if you are looking to reduce the amount you are paying for your vehicle every month, you should go to best of the web, kanetix for the proper insurance and financial advice. Read, learn and apply the knowledge that is given by financial experts. A couple manufacturers are already producing completely electric automobiles, and you can expect this trend to continue. Likewise, other propulsion systems, including natural gas and hydrogen, will continue to be the talk of the future. While the gasoline engine will not completely go away in the next decade, expect the percentage of cars with a gasoline engine to decrease with the advancement of the other propulsion systems mentioned above.

Technology continues to advance at a very fast pace, and technological advances in vehicles will be no exception. In addition to advance propulsion systems, such as electric or natural gas engines, expect other tech gadgets to begin to become increasingly popular in vehicles over the next several years. The internet will become a commonality instead of a rarity. In addition to being able to read emails, or access various social media sites, expect that vehicles will be able to "talk" to each other via the internet. Vehicles that can "talk" to each other can help from a safety perspective, as they can determine safe distances they need to stay away from each other, and set off an alarm if another vehicle comes to close.

As you can see, these are just some of the ways that automobiles will advance in the next decade. With vehicle manufacturers always trying to win over the customer with safety and technology, expect even more rapidly changing evolutions in the automobile in the next decade, in addition to the above, in order to win over the buying public.
