I was pleasantly surprised that it does still cool the air noticeably even with RH around 70-85%, and the USB cable means that I can keep it running non-stop while I'm working on the PC. I'm very happy with the purchase overall.
If you're going to be out and using it consistently all day, load up with new batteries in the morning and take an extra set. I like this so much that I decided to order a replacement sponge (the one that comes with it advertised to last about a year). Then, you must be certain to dry the sponge completely prior to storage to prevent mildew/mold. If those issues don't bother you, this fan is PERFECT! This (Handy Cooler Portable Air Conditioner) is like my new holy grail. It works so wonderfully and people keep asking me what it is and where I got it. I'm very happy with this product. I got the handy cooler for my husband who works in a car repair garage therefore there is no a/c.

I suffer from MS and menopause so when I have to battle with the sun and the heat, I become cranky, sweaty and flustered. I have taken the handy cooler on my travels and I have found that although the device is a little bit chunky, it makes up for its size with the comfy hand strap.
You can buy extra filters to use different aromatherapy oils for each filter. The vent of the fan isn't very big, so don't rely on it to circulate air. Still, this is great fan for portable use and I haven't found anything that works as well for the size and price. For the size it's basically a mini-air cooler that runs off batteries.

The soft cool air it produces is refreshing and with scented oil very soothing. I use this fan every day and cannot imagine being without it now. There is no heavy gust, just a very consistent breeze. I am hoping to open a nail salon soon, and will purchase a few handy coolers first because I can't afford to spend a thousand dollars on a few drying machines.

Should you be looking for any peaceful fan, this is a good option. By trying to rock the fan together with your hand it'll really feel cheap and not sturdy whatsoever. QUIETEST AIR CONDITIONER.
