I bought this back in March and never had a chance to use it. Now the temperature has got high enough to take this beauty to the test, and it has proven itself very worthy. Ah, The Handy Cooler appears to be well built. The fan is very quiet. Beyond that, it produces a nice cool breeze with a light humming noise. It's nothing that powerful, but you can definitely feel the breeze and the temperature of the air really is cooler. I am returning this. Not worth the money.

It's intelligently designed and fits well in my hands. I haven't found a very good purpose to use it but it's just cool to have it around when you're sitting in front of the computer.

I'm building model ships in my garage and I get very hot in my crammed little workspace and needing something not only moves airflow well, but can help keep me stay cool. Cools for like 10 minutes, with a small stream of air, then its temperature-warm again. I'm thinking the individuals who wrote the "five-star" product reviews must work for this company. These mini air conditioners did not change this. After reading numerous reviews and finding that this product was deemed high quality I paid 100 dollars for two of them.
I am always travelling and driving to hot places and it gets very uncomfortable sometimes, so my friend lent me his handy cooler and it has made all the difference in the world! I bought my own last week and I'm glad I did. The Good: DO NOT believe all of the hype on here...That's all it is, hype. During my pregnancy I got hot flashes all the time. Otherwise, I would have given the fan 5 stars instead of 4 stars. I wash the sponge in peppermint soap to feel even cooler but it still has a stale sort of smell that I do not like. When purchasing, I thought this was a hand held device with batteries. I received the shipping and discovered that although it fits well in the hand, it is even better if I use it on my desk. It's designed for you to be held in the palm but I much prefer it sitting on my desk as a desk fan. It's very quiet and very comfortable.

I've got a 250 square foot space. To survive the 86 degrees at work, I have 3 fans blowing, two coming from cooler large living area and one just on me. CAMPING AIR CONDITIONER. I recommend this fan to anybody who looks to buy a great fan. I needed to supplement our A/C in our den and then wheel it towards the bedroom. AC INSTALLERS.
