So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Having Problems With Your Weight And Health? The Cause May Simply Be Your Diet

By Margaret Burgess

Every few years, new fad diets would make their debuts, getting a lot of people to jump on the bandwagon. Low-carbohydrate diets currently hold that spot. The popularity of fad diets is their ability to assist the individual with quick weight loss. Some people would try anything just to lose weight. Now many of the fad diets can cause weight loss. But the problem lies with the rebound effects that will later appear, such as weight gain and health problems.

These problems may range from mild to severe. Mild symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, and headaches. Severe effects include heart disease, hypertension, and high levels of triglycerides. And worse, most people are unaware of what's going on in their body until the condition reaches a dangerous level. This is one of the main reasons why you should consult your physician before making any changes in your diet.

If you want to lose weight, then take care to decrease the number of calories you consume, and increase the number of calories you burn. You should know that doing this won't get rid of your excess weight overnight. It's also possible that your weight gain may be associated with a health condition. If you are among these people, then you shouldn't worry too much.

The reason many people aren't successful on fad diets is because the diets are typically not good sources of long-term nutrition. Your body is looking for nutrients that are missing. You should avoid diets that limit a particular food group unless told to do so by your doctor. A diet that consists of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, grain, as well as fats is the best way to lose weight. These foods are low in calories and are also beneficial in keeping your body healthy.

The reason fad diets aren't that successful is because they aren't good sources of long-term nutrition. Your body longs for nutrients that aren't there. Ideally, you should not go on a restrictive diet unless advised by your physician. A diet of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, grain, and fats is ideal for weight loss. These are healthy foods that have low calories. A multivitamin that has high amounts of chromium and calcium will help you lose weight. These two elements help your body metabolize fat, which is necessary for weight loss. Remember to ask your doctor before you take any multivitamin that has high doses of these elements.
