So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Safety For Gas Scooters

By Greg Tilley

If you get a gas scooter, you need to learn about riding it with caution. You will need to be responsible and make sure that you do a few things before you decide to get on a gas scooter and ride. You want to use common sense to make sure that you are not hurt or even worse.

You should definitely wear the appropriate gear whenever you ride your scooter. Safety is definitely your main concern, and there are a few things you might set in place to make your experience riding a scooter safe. You should be as visible as possible when you ride a scooter. Your clothing should be bright and reflecting light if possible. Increasing your visibility on the road will definitely keep you safer. You need to make sure that you have reflective helmets as well.

Helmets and kneepads should always be worn. You should keep your body as protected as you possibly can when you ride a scooter. You should have elbow pads, wrist guards, gloves and good shoes on your feet too. In the event that you are involved in an accident, you won't get as hurt that way.

The next thing that you need to do is check your scooters equipment. You definitely need to focus on safety on a scooter, probably even more than you would with a car. Everything should work properly before you even start going. You should check the nuts and bolts and make sure that the steering is working properly. Take a moment to check the brakes and every other control. Check the frame to make sure that everything is in tact. Make sure the tires are in good shape, without too much wear and tear. Tires are extremely important and they should be checked routinely.

Get to know your scooter before you rid it. You should take the time to read all the instructions and to make sure you understand them. Don't omit any of the warning labels on the scooter as well. Check the controls and ride cautiously even after you are familiar with the scooter.

And, make sure you respect all rules and road laws. Be aware of where it is okay for you to ride, and be mindful of cars. Avoid bad weather if at all possible. And, try to not ride at night. And if you really can't help going out at night, make sure you wear your reflective gear.

As long as you are cautious and respect basic rules, riding your scooter can be a wonderful experience. You will be able to enjoy the scooter for a long time and it will make your life a lot easier while adding some fun to it as well. A scooter can definitely add a touch of fun and ease to your life.
