So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

By Ben Cook

If you like to chew on your cookies :) then this chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe is just the thing for you! So what do we need to have?

Ingredients for Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

2 sticks butter

2 1/4 cups bread flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/4 cups brown sugar

1 egg

1 egg yolk

2 tablespoons milk

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

OK, lets begin! First heat your oven to 375 degrees F so its hot and ready when we're finished with our cookie batter.

Melt the butter over low heat so you just melt it, not burn it. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda.

Now take a large bowl and pour in the melted butter, white sugar and brown sugar and mix tillyou get a uniform creamy mix. Now it is time to add the egg, yolk, 2 tablespoons milk and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is nicely combined.

Take the flour, salt and baking soda mix which you created previously and slowly mix it into the batter till it's nice and even. The last thing you need to do is to stir in the chocolate chips.

Allow the dough to rest for a while so it cools down, then take a tablespoon and place spoonful drops of dough onto the baking sheets. Leave about 2 inches of space between cookies.

It's bake time! Leave your chewy chocolate chip cookies in the oven for 14 minutes or until they're golden brown (you can check them once in a while if they are prepared). Be cautious, they're hot, cool them down on a wire plate or something like that and if you are not going to eat them all, put them into an airtight bin.

We hope you liked this chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe. Stay yummy.
