So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Recommend Day Tours In Tuscany

By Marco Mori

I've been cycling throughout the Tuscany area for many years, and it hardly ever fails to amaze me just how beautiful the scenery is and just how superb the cycle tours are. I know organise cycling holidays in Tuscanyand bike renting services. Folks regularly let me know what they want, their own perfect itinery and I am going to go away, do my research and come with all the info to help make their customised tour practicable.

Infrequently I do get asked, "What is your favourite?" or "What day trips do you recommend?" As far as my favourite is anxious I am spoilt for choice, I have so many but a day tour I recommend is the 'Luca Day Tour ' as it is our special Lucca bike and wine tour, including a stop for lunch.

It's an straightforward bike tour to reach one of the best winery of Luca D.O.C. Area. After biking for some km along the Serchio brook we enter in the typical Tuscan country, through narrow roads surrounded by seasonal flowers and fruits and olive grooves. Once in the winery we're going to enjoy different kinds of red and white wines they produce. The winery is not very far from Lucca but like in each bike tour it needs a good talent and fitness level and sports wear.

On the way back we will stop to go to an organic farm and have a light lunch with their local fresh food harvested from the earth. The owner will welcome the group and show his farm and he is going to invite all guests to taste his organic oil, red and white wine coupled with seasonal food coming from the veg garden and cooked by his wife (depending on the season, plant omelette, soup, pinzimonio, cheese, salami, bruschetta..

After I tell folk this, I often find I do not need to say anymore. The Luca Day Tour is definitely worth it.
