So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Top Trends For Wedding Dresses This Spring

By John Jones

Spring is the season to wear a new wardrobe and shed a few layers, and this includes wedding dresses, gowns and accessories. This is the time of year that calls for new trends, patterns and fabrics. Below are five trends you might want to look out for in a spring wedding dress. If you are having a spring garden setting, wear a beautiful floral-embellished dress. You could have some blossoms strategically embroidered on your gown. Or you could have 3D buds on them, too. Complement the season with a frock that is inspired by nature. Wear a flowy A-line dress with floral embellishments on the bodice and waistline, or you could opt for a floral-embellished sweep train for a unique and subtle spring style.

It's also fair to say that most brides need some small, last-minute adjustments to their wedding dresses, to ensure the best fit. While traditional bridal stores offer this service in-house, it's often still a chargeable service. So, the sensible pregnant bride-to-be is advised to seek out the services of a local, highly recommended dressmaker who can be on hand for any last-minute adjustments.

Just because it sunny outside doesn't mean it's all warm and comfy. Make sure that you have a cover-up, especially if your celebration extends up to the evening. If you are having an evening reception, keep yourself warm by wearing a bolero that would match your wedding dress. Another great option is a cashmere cardigan. Choose a full-sleeved or full-sleeved cardigan that is sophisticated.

This said, while many brides hope to lose a few pounds in the run up to their big day, pregnant brides all know that they will have grown before their wedding day! If the bride is in between two dress sizes, she will need to buy the larger of the two, to err on the side of caution.
