So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

What You Have To Do Once You Have Purchased Your Car

By Dew Colmervis

Whether you just bought a brand new car or a pre-owned one, there are several things you need to post-purchase. For one, you have to get insurance for your new acquisition. Obtaining insurance is necessary since it will provide a cushion when you need to pay for hospital bills or damage to your car in the event of collisions and other accidents. It is also a requirement in most states, and not having proof of your compliance to your state's minimum insurance requirements when you're involved in a road accident can mean suspension of your driving privileges.

There is no denying that insurance is a recurrent expenditure for those who own cars, and a considerable one at that. The good thing is that there are plenty of companies that provide cheap car insurance rates. Keep in mind, however, that you should not immediately go for the company with the cheapest auto insurance quotes. The reason for this is that some of the companies that offer the cheapest auto insurance quotes tend to slam their clients with bigger deductibles once the latter requests for reimbursements. Therefore, your goal is to find a trusted company that has cheap car insurance rates but offers adequate and reliable coverage as well.

To home in on the correct insurance for you, you have to determine what your state's current minimum requirements are as well as examine what your needs are. In majority of jurisdictions, the minimal insurance requirement would be third-party liability which provides financial protection in case you accidentally crashed into another vehicle, consequently damaging it and injuring its driver and passengers. Scrimping, by obtaining an insurance plan that just meets what your country or state requires, is highly discouraged because these limits are usually not enough to pay for car repairs and medical expenses especially if several people are injured.

No-fault collision policies are also worth obtaining because you will be indemnified for losses no matter if you were the one at fault for the incident. Comprehensive coverage is also a worthwhile investment since it will cover for repairs and replacement should your car get damaged in a non-car related mishap.

Insurance premiums and terms differ considerably among insurers, so it would be sensible to evaluate at least three car insurance quotes. The Internet is a great tool to get these car insurance quotes, and to know the insurance company better in terms of how quickly they respond to claims requests, and their financial stability and soundness.

Once you have insurance, the next step would be to register your car. Get in touch with your state's DMV to check what you need to bring or how much you need to pay upon registration.

Finally, familiarize yourself with the car, especially its safety features as this knowledge can literally save your life.
