So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Your Good 5 Reasons For Sapphire Jewellery

By John S Stewart

The Introduction.

When you are in the mood for purchasing some jewellery, then top of many peoples lists is that of sapphire jewellery. They are to be found in many guises including rings such as those of sapphire eternity and engagement types, earrings, pendants and much more. They can be commonly found in all the usual shapes, cuts, sizes and clarity, but without doubt, the largest differing aspect is that of their massive array of differing colours that can be found, essentially in all but red.

The sapphire remains as popular today with all, and throughout history, it has famously been acquired by many Royals and other famous people.

The range you will find in front of you when choosing this gemstone jewellery will be enormous!

5 Great Reasons.

1. Hardness.

This gemstone crystal is ranked second along with that of the ruby on the Mohs hardness scale, to only that of diamond. This undoubtedly means that it has greater robustness and resistance to knocks etc when being worn compared to that of some lesser durable gemstone variants.

2. Anniversary Stone Sapphire.

A sapphire eternity ring is an perfect example of what can be purchased to acknowledge all sorts of celebrations including years of marriage and birthdays for 5th, 45th and 70th anniversaries.

3. Sapphire Birthstone.

If you are thinking of purchasing a sapphire engagement ring for instance, then if you are either born in the month of September or are associated with the Zodiac sign of Cancer, then this is unquestionably the gemstone for you.

4. Colour.

The most valuable of blue colours is usually said to be that of the cornflower blue shade, followed by Ceylon mid-blues and then on to the very dark, almost black blues known as Australian blue. Other colours include yellow, orange, hot pinks, purples and greens, as well as a lovely orange-pink that is known as Padparadscha.

5. Legend.

Throughout history, if you had hearing problems, inflammation, cancer, burns or suffered nightmares or other evil thoughts, then this was the stone for you to help eliminate them. It was said to be the gemstone that came from the heavens, and ensured the wearer would be happy, trustworthy and faithful.

In Conclusion.

Although size for size not as valuable usually as the ruby, it can be more expensive than diamond, and in any case it is still the worlds number one selling gemstone.

Not only did Prince Charles famously present Lady Diana with a magnificent sapphire cluster ring on their engagement, but Popes once used it to show off their high rank, and even King Solomon used it as his Royal seal. This just emphasises what a truly majestic item it really is, and you should be proud to own and wear it as much as they did!

Any of your jewellery will naturally get soiled with wear over time, but your cherished Sapphire Ring for example, can easily be refurbished back to looking new once again. Just use a soft toothbrush that is immersed in warm and mildly soapy water, and gently scrub to achieve impressive results.

Just love your Sapphire Jewellery as much as possible, and this can only surely be done if you wear it and show it off to all.
