So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Why Body Builders Need Fat in their Diets

When bodybuilding, you should know that adding dietary fat to your daily diet is important for success. You will see much written about essential nutrients such as essential fatty acids. Due to the fact that the body cannot produce these nutrients, they are called essential. So essential nutrients must be found elsewhere and eaten in some form. There are actually 8 known essential fatty acids, of which omega 3, 6, and 9 are the ones usually discussed. Each of these components are used in various roles in your body for many functions important for bodybuilding.

Even if you aren't a bodybuilder, you should be steering clear of foods rich in saturated fats. An easy way to figure out saturated fats is these types of fats will turn into solids at room temperatures and melt at high temperatures. Saturated fats come from animal fats. Anyone can now recognize and avoid foods high in saturated fats. There are biochemical reasons why your body needs cholesterol, from foods derived of animal products such as, milk, cheese, eggs, beef, etc. Testosterone levels may be raised by consuming foods which contain saturated fats. EFA's, in relation to hormone levels, have been given a great deal of attention. There is very good reason for the bodybuilder to be concerned with that. A very important role is played by essential fatty acids in regard to joints and bones. If taken regularly, EFA's can help support the mineralization of bone mass. Our quality of life is, in part, dependent upon our joint health which should be important to everyone, not just bodybuilders. People that do a great deal of weight training put excessive stress on their joints and therefore are very interested in strengthening their bones.

The role of Essential Fatty Acids, or EFA's, for the bodybuilder who wants to gain mass is an important one. How much fat you consume per day may play a role in adding more muscle mass. If you have been trying to build muscle mass and aren't getting the desired results, then it's time to incorporate more essential fatty acids. Taking daily essential fatty acids, such as flax seeds can help overall health. EFA's cannot be made naturally by the body and must be supplied through diet. Numerous bodybuilders have seen great results by increasing essential fatty acid consumption instead of adding more protein and reducing fat intake.

Your body will see an increase in testosterone levels if you take the right bodybuilding supplements. When you eat foods with plenty of saturated fats, you will not have to take supplements to produce testosterone. Of course, you should never ingest a higher than recommended daily level of saturated fats. Testosterone is a hormone that can be produced easily every day within your body as long as you eat a healthy amount of saturated fats. So do not fall into the trap of thinking you have to spend a great deal on various extra supplements such as testosterone enhancing products.

Because of its intensity, the exercise and training regimen of a bodybuilder will be more focused on nutritional needs. The only reasonable conclusion then is to make sure your diet is comprised of healthy fats consumed in the right proportions. You'll find hat when you adhere to these principles you'll develop more muscle and lose more fat.
