So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Benefits Of Having An Improved Ability To Concentrate And Focus

By Mark Wayorvis

There are a lot of benefits you can get from improving your concentration and focus. For one, you'll be able to study far more effectively and understand various concepts faster, and you also can meet due dates or performance targets easily. In addition, if you could effectively tune out distractions, you'll also feel less stressed. The good news is that there are steps you can take to enhance your focus and concentration.

Look for an ideal environment. For many individuals, this would be a silent, cozy place with few to no external distractions like television and phones, but for some individuals, a suitable environment could be somewhere with warm lighting and relaxing music.

Start a project or task with a clear head. In this day and age, taking into account all the distractions we have, this is easier said than done. It is a smart move to allocate a few minutes to an hour every day to schedule how you will complete each of your tasks. Creating a clear picture of what you must do can help you save time and spare you from getting distressed. Also, a clear workdesk can also help clear your head, so declutter that desk to get things done.

Train your brain. To boost your concentration and ability to focus, it would be wise to play games that call for mental sharpness like Sudoku puzzles. When you are not doing anything, also try to count to 100 in reverse or spell phrases backwards. These may appear easy but you'll be surprised how much concentration they can require. Also, as sportsmen improve physical stamina by going beyond the point of exhaustion, you can develop mental vigor by going beyond the point of frustration. For example, if you're in the middle of a task and you already wish to give up, make an effort to keep on staying on the task for 5 minutes more.

Eat foods that boost your brain power. Food items like fish, nuts, seeds, berries, whole grains, natural fruit juices and also dark chocolate are said to boost brain functions. There are also nutritional supplements in the market which claim to boost memory, concentration, and focus, FOCUSfactor being one of them. Reviews about this brain supplement are favorable on the whole because this product makes it easy and convenient to consume vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids which are clinically proven to enhance brain functions. While brain supplements can help improve your concentration and focus, it is still advisable to talk to your physician about your plan of taking these products to evaluate if it is safe for you or if changes to your health management are required. When purchasing supplements, also check if they contain no unhealthy additives and are made in line with cGMPs and that you purchase them from reliable sellers only.
