So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Items Needed In All Car Emergency Kits

By Muriel Noel

All vehicles should have car emergency kits in them. These are necessary in case the car breaks down, or you find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere. While with a cell phone you can always call someone for help, you still want to have the supplies needed to help you during that time.

A portable jump starter that comes with an air compressor is a must have in every vehicle. When a vehicle battery dies, most people flag down another vehicle for help with a jump start. With a portable jump starter, you can avoid flagging down a stranger by jump starting your vehicle yourself.

Another thing you should include in your vehicle kit is a first aid box. This box should include some basic items such as, rubbing alcohol, eye drops, antibiotic cream, adhesive tape, and bandages. These are just a few items, but you can also include other things such as aids that will help you if you suffer a minor burn.

Appropriate clothing should be included in your kit, so that you are prepared for any situation. Items like a poncho or a rain coat can help protect you in the middle of a thunderstorm. Goggles and gloves protect you when checking the engine in the vehicle. Flashlight, though not a clothing item, can also help when it is dark.

Water and food are things needed in the kit, especially when driving with young children. The last thing you want is to have upset children who are hungry while stranded in the middle of nowhere. Small snacks can help calm them down while fixing the situation. Water is also important to stay hydrated and to fix an overheated vehicle.

These are things you want to have in your package. car emergency kits can be created or purchased from companies who have them already made. Whichever you decide, just make sure it has all the necessary items, to get through any type of difficult situation.
