So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

By Casandra Cotton

Visitors who are new to the area will often ask about EWR Airport parking Newark. The airport is one of the largest in the New York metro area and is constantly busy. Trying to find the right place to put your vehicle can prove daunting but with a simple guide one will master the choices rather quickly.

The three letters EWR actually are the code for Newark International. The sheer size and perfect location make it one of the busiest of all with constant international and domestic flights arriving and departing. No question that lots to place cars somewhere are a critical part of being able to visit it. Picking the right lot will mean you understand a few important things beforehand.

When you speak of lots you really need to understand that there are roughly three choices available to you. Understanding the choices will make it easier to pick the one which works best. The most obvious and frequented is the daily lots. These are meant for short stays and charge based on an hourly rate.

Once you have decided on this kind of lot you will have two main types and both are located directly in view or immediately next to the terminals. There are three terminals so park in the lot closest to the terminal you are visiting. The first type of lot is one that is a normal open spaces outdoor lot. While the second type is a covered garage.

The next kind of lot you will be able to choose from is of course the off site spots. These are located away from the terminals in and around the Elizabeth area. They can be anywhere from 1 to 5 miles away from the terminals. Shuttle buses will carry passengers to the terminals. Rates will be significantly less when compared to lots located within the facility.

For those of you that will want the option of leaving your vehicle while you are away so its there when you get back you have long term lots. These are aimed at those that will need to store a car from a few days to a month or even longer. They too come in either uncovered outdoor spaces or covered garage types. Obviously these kinds of lots will be a distance away from the terminals. A shuttle will always be in the lot to take you to one of the terminals. Spaces are ample so there will be little trouble finding a spot.

Before traveling out to these lots the smart traveler will find out information ahead of time by calling the airports hotline. Another valuable source of information about lots and prices is the online website. There you can use an interactive map or print one out to take with you.
