So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Nothing Beats A Solid Well Made GM Truck

Trucks are a man thing. This can be considered as one of the things men are dying to have. The vastness, toughness and performance of this vehicle compliment man's characteristics. With this truck one can carry almost anything anywhere. General Motor Company has been one of the pioneering producers of this type of vehicle. The company has been manufacturing trucks ever since 1912. Read on to learn more regarding the development of GM trucks.

After the acquisition of two more car manufacturer, the GMC was able to tender its very first product in the auto market. The early vehicle models of GMC were built to display durability. Over the years of their production they have maintained this and become a part of their trademark. The durability of their products was even more intensified when the US government assigned the company to fabricate trucks for military use during the World War One episode. Being commissioned to make war trucks, their first products were indeed used by the US military troop in the war. This is a fact that the company is still proud of even these days. A big profit was on their way during 1917 as well as 1919 because more than 90% of their manufactured trucks this time were used by military.

The early vehicles of GMC were not instant hit in the market. As a matter of fact a lot of consumers were doubtful at first on this brand. But marketing strategies of the company prevailed. Their winning promotional tricks eventually gained them popularity. They even went as far as promoting their product across the boundaries. The GM truck models were continuously subjected to modifications and alterations to produce more high performing vehicles. Because of their hard work to come up with the needed vehicles in a timely fashion the company's effort was later on recognized with the "E Award". With this across their name, GMC became an instant hit in the auto market. They were able to attract more consumers resulting to increased number of transactions that in turn led to increased profit. During the 50's and 60's, public began to appreciate the vehicles manufactured by the company. These years concluded in an increased number of models that the company is offering in the auto market. For the duration of this time as much as seventy five models were eventually supplied by GMC. The models that they were able to put up were larger and better. More features were installed that gave the vehicles more pleasing and lavish effect. Because of all the innovations and popularity in this time the company was declared as the third of the largest manufacturers of truck worldwide.

With the greater than ever prices of raw materials for car production as well as the production process itself combined with the current aggressive auto market, car manufacturers like GM were facing financial crisis these days. Good thing GM's advertising strategies still worked in their way aiding them in their struggle against the predicament. Despite the crisis, GM did not stopped in making valuable innovations on its vehicles creating the famous quality trucks that we know of today.
