So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Main Features Of DIY Fashion Blogs

By Brandi Little

The fashion world has changed in many respects with the advancement of technology and the Internet. Many people are starting DIY fashion blogs. These websites, and the individuals who operate them, are becoming well-known parts of the industry. There are various resources for people with interest in finding success through blogging.

Begin with putting together a mission statement that is concise, clear and represents the theme of the site. An assortment of paths can be taking in the fashion industry, choose which one you want to take. Set goals and you know what you want to accomplish. You might consider using the online space to share your inspiration, post your personal style or offer fashion advice. In any case, having a focus will make the process easier.

Deciding on the name for your page is another step. The name that you choose should reflect your mission, self, style or all three things. While names should be unique to you, they should also be easy for readers to remember. Because this will become an element of your brand, pick something that you will not change. It should have lasting power because rebranding or changing things after being established can be difficult.

The platform for your blog must be decided. Countless free programs and websites are available that allow individuals to easily set up and publish blogs or websites. Do research on all available options and consider the cons and pros of each one. Your final decision should be on a platform that is not difficult to use and has features that you feel comfortable applying. Most bloggers purchase a personalized domain too.

The design of your blog is important. In fact, it can make or break you. Build your layout and design after you have settled on the platform. This process may take a lot of a little time depending on many different factors. In general, strive for a visually appealing layout that is simple but attention grabbing. Do not create complex layouts that are hard to use, slow loading and distracting.

Once you have covered the initial steps in setting the blog up, you can begin to blog. Most bloggers find it to be easier to cover the subjects that inspire them so there is never a shortage of ideas. There are no limits to the content shared. Consider investments in devices that can improve your blog, such as professional cameras, recording devices or editing programs.

Most bloggers operate independently, which is to say they are their own bosses. They are in control of what gets published, when and how. The use of photographs, video and similar media is a good way to change up content and add to text posts. New viewers may be attracted to your page because of the visuals too. Drafting a blog calendar is a simple way to keep track of posts, past or future, and remain organized and consistent.

Lastly, promote your work. Be proud of what you have created and share it with as many people as possible. It may take some time to gather a following, but you can start promoting by sharing your link on other website, posting comments on other blogs, utilizing social media and teaming up with similar bloggers for projects. DIY fashion blogs can be extremely beneficial. Some are even able to turn this hobby into a full-time career. Whether blogging is a hobby or a job, make sure to have fun.
