So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Winter Prep Tips To Keep Your Car Cleaned Up

By Aaron Knutson

Overland Park can be quite harsh on vehicles during the winter. Your car's paint, plastic and trim will end up damaged from all of the chemicals and salt that they put on the roads. Whether you are driving on the salt filled roads or washing the salt off at your local auto car wash, your car is confronted with an attack on every last level. We have come up with some easy to follow tips that will help in your battle to protect and keep your car alive throughout the cold months.

Just before the winter time comes, you should think about using a good car detailing wax. Waxing will be able to protect your paint and act as a strong shield for your vehicle. Wax is going to keep dirt, salt and ice from sticking to your car at the same time.

You'll need to make sure you have a plan of action for how and where it will be easy to get your car cleaned up after any weather occurs. Having your car washed up after each and every snowfall is vital.

Making sure to keep your car washed up will be rather critical in shielding your ride during the winter. No matter whether you get an auto detailer that will come out to where you are, head over to a car detailing shop for a professional car cleaning, wash the car yourself or check out the automatic car wash, have a method so the road salt and chemicals don't adhere to and harm the car.

This is a little advice if you do go with an automatic car wash. Automatic car washes are recognized for their exceedingly strong chemicals and scratch inducing brushes. While some car washes have brushes that mark your vehicle some other automatic car washes are touch-free yet they have to use incredibly strong cleaners. The brush-less car wash is usually the best way to go. Granted the brush-free car wash uses rather potent cleaners but it is much better than the swirls and the scratches you're going to get at an automatic car wash that uses the brushes.

Here are a few pieces of advice for when you go with the touch-free car washes though. Let's look back at what was mentioned in paragraph two where we talked about durable car detailing waxes. The local auto washes make use of aggressive alkaline-based chemicals and cleaners to wash your ride consequently going with the appropriate auto wax is critical.

Make sure that you choose to use the synthetic car wax product as opposed to a normal wax. Synthetic waxes are made for shine and longevity while natural carnauba waxes are largely applied for aesthetic appeal. A high-quality synthetic wax should also be resistant to acid-based chemicals.

A quality car detail shop will be able to correctly hand wash your vehicle. Just make sure that they will use both a rinse bucket and a soap bucket to clean up your ride. This is very important considering that the vast majority of car detailing companies will only use just a single bucket. On top of that, certain shops won't clean your car with a bucket whatsoever. They will rinse your vehicle using a little h2o and then wipe over the dirt while drying the car using a towel. But, there are a couple of issues with both of these types of car detailers.

To start with, your car will get scratched whenever you go with a detailer that cleans your ride without a bucket. If they merely wash the vehicle off using h2o then dry the car to take off the filth, they're going to be rubbing dirt and grime over your car's nice paint job which will create swirls. When the car detailing company is only using a single bucket, you run the risk of the water becoming so dirty that the car's paint will get marred due to the debris. Be sure that your auto detailing company is going to be using a rinse bucket and a bucket of soap water.

Do you want to clean your vehicle on your own? Just stick to the suggestions that we offered you for choosing a quality car detailing business to wash your ride. The goal of ideal car cleaning is to eliminate all of the debris and filth from the vehicle while cutting down the risk of inducing scratches or swirls.

Regardless of what way you go, it's very important to get your vehicle waxed before winter time and keep it washed after each snowfall through the winter months. Make sure you get a good coating of synthetic auto detail wax on the car so your paint is shielded and your car washes up without as much effort. Guarding your car in the winter months will definitely keep your vehicle looking it's very finest. The very best of luck to you as you get yourself through the tough winter that Overland Park Kansas carries our way.
