So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Stylish Turbans For Chemo Patients

By Claudine MacDonald

Head turbans are very common types of head wear especially among the Muslims and Hindus. In most Muslim communities, these are worn to protect the head from dust and san since most of Arabs live in dry sandy areas. Also, the headbands are used to complement their garment. Among the Sikhs however, head gears have symbolic meanings and are put on mainly because their religion (Sikhism), demand that they do so. Another group of people who like donning headbands are patients recovering from cancer, hence turbans for chemo patients.

Cancer is rated among the most deadly disease in terms of people it kills every year. It is only second to heart diseases. In terms of its treatment, scant developments have been made. Among the few methods of treating cancer is chemotherapy. Although its success rate is relatively high, it has one serious side effect. Patients treated using the method end up losing their hair. Now that is a very big blow especially to people who value their looks. The reason is that loss of hair will change the appearance of a person completely.

However, it is much better to lose your hair and keep your life. But you do not have to walk with hairless head and feel demoralized. Most people have take to hiding their hairless heads by wearing hats and wigs. But most commonly, recovering people resort to wearing chemo turbans. The good thing with them is that they re available in very large varieties. Also, they are available in various shapes and sizes, meaning almost anybody can get what fits their heads.

These headbands are stocked by many local stores. But do not think that choosing a turban is just something you will walk into the shop and buy. It needs careful consideration since it is a part of your outfit. You have to consider especially if it matches your clothes. Most importantly, what you select has to be appealing to you.

The first thing to consider is your taste. Whatever you are to buy must be something that feels good when worn. If you look yourself in the mirror and have a feeling that you look great, then go with your choice.

This turban is mainly for cancer patients, which means it can be a very personal thing. But before choosing a particular one, ensure you have tried out several types in order to get what fits you best. Since you may be easily overwhelmed at the stores by the large selections stocked there, it would be wise to go with someone to help you pick the one you want.

Just because a particular turban fitted someone is no guarantee that you will also look nice in it. This is because it has to do with the shape of head of a person and also their general dressing. So if you do not have great taste in clothing, it may not look nice on you.

As if suffering from cancer is not bad enough, victims often do have to contend with another nightmare of hair loss. But this should not deprive you of your taste and fashions. By wearing turbans for chemo patients, you should be able to conceal your head well.
