So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Guidelines On Designing House Interiors

By Lauren Davis

Houses can have chic minimalist interiors or have a dramatic motif. Some have a practical look, while others are very intricate in style. Whatever the style is, a home interior design can be accomplished through simple house improvement or a complete renovation. However, the outcome of the design should enhance the efficiency and look of the home. So if you have an idea of how you want the interior design of your house to look like, start on the project to improve the look and feel of your house. But first, learn the basic rules that you need to follow to create a sensible and stylish space before ordering new paints or rearranging furniture.

Interior designing is more than just painting a room with the owner's favourite shade or installing fashionable fixtures around the house. There are certain guides on home interior design that need to be applied to achieve ideas and styles. The first step is to take into account the ratio and size of the room and its furniture. Ensure that the furniture fit the room and that they will not make it appear and feel overcrowded. For example, overhead cabinets in the kitchen may call attention to the ceiling height of a vertically challenged room.

Make a fascinating item the focal point of a room. The focal point is where the sight of a person either first lands or ends in upon entering the room. It could be a room fixture, a piece of furniture, or an ornament, such as a lamp, a centre table, the hearth, or the widescreen TV. But also keep in mind that the focal point is not the only item in the room. There should also be an equilibrium of visual weights. The other furniture must also be appealing so people can absorb visually everything in the space from corner to corner in a continuous manner.

City living is frenzied and busy occasionally, that is why people anticipate going home after a hard day's work. Home is where they acquire serenity. To instill calm in the interior design of a home, settle on a good theme and work on that. Having several themes creates disorder and confusion in the whole design of the house. So just choose one and avoid throwing in everything that you believe looks good.

You can make the Interior design of your house mirror your character and serve your needs. No matter how exquisite a design turns out to be, if it contradicts your style and needs, then your home would be foreign and even worthless to you. So whether you are planning a house or office interior design, remember to integrate your lifestyle in the design.
