So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Beautify Your Interior Mediterranean Style!

By Katie Lee

The Mediterranean approach is the ideal combo between natural elements, elegance, and relaxation. An anchor on the wall, a hammock inside the dining room, a couple of exotic plants, and some scallops are going to be perfect to enjoy the Mediterranean style right at your home.

To recreate the Mediterranean style in your house, you will need to use a color palette that has the aspects of the coast like blue for the ocean, pale yellow for sand and white for sunshine.

The Mediterranean style is showcased by the natural elements, in contrast to the minimal decorating objects that are based on straight lines and precision. The materials themselves tend to be natural and lightweight like cotton and furniture.

Regarding the floor, you may select wooden parquet made of pine, since it has a lighter color. Natural stone can be also good. Even so, try not to over do it since it could make your home feel somewhat cold. In the event you also opt for floor heating, you will feel like strolling in the hot Mediterranean sand.

The particular furniture maintains a minimal note - you will need to choose a few simple elements. You have to have light colors and you could combine some aspects of classicism if you desire. If you want to feel as though you are really strolling on the beach, you must also add decorative elements such as flowers, scallops, and colored sand. Using this in your hallway is great way to introduce guests to your Mediterranean hideout. That's why it's better to have some type of seaside symbol at your entrance. Using a thing like an anchor would be great for the foyer. You might also have a thing like a transparent glass urn with some scallop shells and withered flowers to add some flare.

Your living room could end up being your relaxing oasis. If perhaps you have enough space, you can make the hammock the center piece of your room. Employ powerful hooks to attach it in the wall, and you can also add a palm tree to finish the atmosphere. Then add tinted stones and the impression will be completed. For the couch, you've got to maintain the same basic colors of white, yellow and blue. Do not load the room too much, get a couple of bamboo armchairs, and try to choose only small tables. You can spotlight the assortment of shells, scallops, and stones by placing them in a transparent drawer.

For the corner windows, you should utilize drapes with vertical stripes in white and blue. You can easily keep the walls simple but having some works of art of the seaside can add some charm.

The classic wooden boat is just not something that many decorators would incorporate in today's designs. But if you have room and you want it, then do it. You will need a very intricate handmade boat.

The bedroom can be made to look exotic by means of fine white lingerie. You may also position a bowl of sand and scented flowers next to your bedside also. Even when you never use it, you can have a bamboo screen for an additional effect.
