So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Dealing with automobile mechanics if you are a woman

By George Dodson

One might question the reputation car mechanics possess when women take their cars to have them repaired. Mechanics seem to be with the attitude that states that females do not have much information that males have about cars. This is not to mean that all mechanics are this way but many are and this brings concern. Is there anything women can do to offset this trend? What can be done so that women are not taken advantage of by mechanics?

women dealing with Mechanics can employ a strategy. Foremost, you must be in the know. Read that automobile manual. know how your car runs. Become familiar with how often you change the fluids, how to operate the controls, and other information vital to keep your machine running.

You should also find out what you can do by yourself. You can save a lot of money by doing simple things like changing your wiper blades, checking your head and tail lights and also checking your fluid levels to ensure they are where they should be. It' obvious, that if you do these things yourself, you don' have to deal with a mechanic. In addition, you save a lot of money because many mechanics charge by the hour.

As a woman, if you have to deal with a mechanic make sure that mechanic is reliable. Inspect the mechanic that you are dealing with. Look into reports of trouble associated with their businesses. Enquire from friends and relations on where to get the best services at fair prices. When you find a mechanic that' reliable, and doesn' want to take advantage of you, stay with that mechanic. You might be drawn elsewhere by advertising but it is better to stick to the winning formula.

You should be in the know of the problem your car is facing next time you visit your mechanic. You can get this information by searching for it on the Internet, reading your manual or even specialty manuals designed for your make and model of car. After knowing this, you can go to your mechanic confident that you will not be ripped off. You only need to mouth the words "I think it' probably something bad." As this gives the mechanic the go ahead for a potential rip off.

Ensure that your mechanic points out the problem with your car once you make a point visiting him. If you do not understand the problem, ensure to tell the mechanic that you are keen on finding out the problem. Most the time if the mechanic is willing to show you what the problem is he or she is being honest with you. That' especially true, if you show a degree of knowledge about that particular problem. You might know the problem of your car but not willing to fix it by yourself.
