So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Know Your VW: What is an Air-Cooled Engine?

By John Smith

Your car's engine keeping cool is an important factor. After all, if it works, there isn't much point in thinking about it too much, right? You don't know when this information might come in handy.

Just about every modern car will use coolant and water mixture for cooling down car, because they have water-cooled engines. But did you know that an older Volkswagen model might actually use air for the same purpose? Buy beetle parts online.

What is an Air-Cooled Engine?

While you've probably purchased many VW Beetle parts, VW camper parts, and VW van parts, you probably never stopped to think how it all works. A lot of people think this is something only a mechanic should know.

When you own a VW you also need to know the technology that works inside it and its history. Air-cooled engines don't require radiators, and they don't need to regulate the engine's internal temperature. The function of these types of engines is simply to allow air to flow over and around the engine to cool it as you drive your VW down the road.

Order VW beetle parts now - In order to pull heat away and help in moving air over the engine, there are special VW Beetle parts, VW camper parts, and VW van parts involved. Because of their extended design, the fins are the part responsible for pulling the hear away. A fan then blows on the fans, allowing cool air to travel over them and cool the engine. Cylinders are Beetle parts that also assist in this airflow; they are near the fins, lying horizontally, and face away from each other. These fins are allowed free air flow in order to cool the engine.

Volkswagens With Air-Cooled Engines

Do you think you have a Volkswagen with an air-cooled engine? These engines were produced in Volkswagen manufacturing plants from 1936 through the 2000's. This type of engine were present in the following notable Volkswagens

Type 1, or the Beetle

the VW bus or transporter or Type 2 engine

Type 3

Type 4

Air-Cooled Engine Benefits

For anyone who has recently made a purchase for a Volkswagen part, they will know the importance of VW Beetle parts or VW van parts. Each part works in conjunction with the next, and when one fails, it must be replaced so the VW functions correctly. This is the same with any car; the only difference is VWs with air-cooled engines offer many benefits more modern cars do not, including lower costs, light weight engines, and a more simple way of cooling the vehicle. There is no need to worry constantly about coolant and there are no more VW camper parts needed. Get VW camper parts with some bargain.

While learning about the engine in your VW might not seem interesting or necessary, it is a part of this legendary vehicle's history and can provide insight into how your Volkswagen works and what VW camper parts you will need to ensure it is working correctly for years to come.
