So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Neil's Finance Plaza Discloses Tips About Auto Maintenance

By William Bickle

Every year automobiles, most notably used ones, seemingly get more and more high priced. With so much money involved in our cars and trucks these days, it can make even more sense to stay up to date with the maintenance of your auto. A couple of easy decisions, if you can remember them and follow through with them, can add years of life to your car. Here are a few suggestions from Neil's Finance Plaza to make your car last longer.

Checking your oil level routinely is Neil's Finance Plaza's first and foremost tip about car maintenance. Checking your oil can be as crucial as changing it - especially if your oil levels start getting very low. You might start losing oil suddenly and you most likely would not even know it. If it leaks and you don't notice right away, you can ruin your motor.

Try not to keep putting your appointment off when you need to change your oil. Neil's Finance Plaza's suggestion on this subject is, "Procrastinating is rarely a good thing - specifically in the arena of car care." With today's technology, synthetic oils offer superior durability than standard oil, but it's still recommended that you change it out as soon as you are supposed to. Though if you happen to drive a higher number of miles on the highway, you might able to drive farther than the recommended mileage. For most of us the most challenging thing about getting your oil changed is not forgetting to get it done. Yet, if you put effort into it and stay up to date with your oil you'll get a great deal more miles out of your motor.

And now the subject of your your tires. Sure, they're just rubber. However, they are a big issue for Neil's Finance Plaza. If you haven't purchased a pair of tires within the past year or so, you could be in for a surprise. The prices have recently shot up. That's why it's necessary to regularly keep them inflated to the right pressure, inspect them on a regular basis and have them rotated at least one time a year. Monitoring your tires, however easily forgotten, helps to save lots of cash in the long run.

Even though you might not think about it oftentimes, your windshield is very important to maintaining your auto. The material your windshield is made of isn't indestructible and it almost always gets chipped or cracked throughout the years. Don't procrastinate when it comes to crack in the windshield. Neil's Finance Plaza suggests you have it taken to a shop as soon as you possibly can. If you forget to have the damage in your windshield taken care of, even if the damage seems insignificant, it can spread leading to limited visibility and consequently hazardous driving.

If you hear your brakes make that dreadful scratching sound, it is important to have them serviced. In a perfect world your pads should be serviced before making this noise, but Neil's Finance Plaza strongly encourages that you not allow your vehicle's brakes wear beyond this point. In fact, Neil's Finance Plaza suggests that you change them before they start making that screeching. Having low brakes can mean that the rest of your wheels will get too hot and even break.

The next thing on the Neil's Finance Plaza checklist is fluids under the hood. You'll never be able to know in advance when your brake, anti-freeze or transmission fluid might begin getting low or start to leak. If you neglect to check these routinely, you could end up with a much worse engine problem than you might have had otherwise. And, don't forget to give your motor fluids their usual top up and flush.

Neil's Finance Plaza says that the most ignored, yet essential elements of auto maintenance are frequent timing and serpentine belt replacement. Though there's a longer duration between replacing belts they should not be overlooked. Many of us normally don't think about these engine belts until they're stranded somewhere with a snapped belt. Always replace these belts regularly - in particular timing belts. If a timing belt breaks down it usually wrecks your whole motor.

Each time you change the belt that is in tandem your water pump Neil's Finance Plaza suggests for you to change the pump itself. In this way you basically take care of two things at once. If the water pump breaks your engine will overheat or even be permanently damaged.

Our next auto maintenance topic is making sure your battery is always in tip top shape. Forgetting to change an old battery means you'll have a high chance that your car won't start when it's cold outside. Once you see signs of the battery shedding its charge Neil's Finance Plaza highly recommends getting a new one.

Even though many people may see it as unnecessary, Neil's Finance Plaza advises car detailing as a part of your regular service. In the end, your car will look significantly better if it has been kept clean. Your car will hold its value and be much easier to resell - plus it will be better looking in the meantime.

Clean carpets and seats are nearly impossible without some kind of shampooing. Preserving your car's interior for as long as possible is another top priority to Neil's Finance Plaza. Replace ruined floor mats, and be diligent to clean carpets of stains before they become permanent.

Now some advice concerning your car's paint. Always take good care of your paint - the original finish on your car is one of its most valuable components. Don't delay to cover up chips and scratches in the paint. Metal materials are prone to rust quickly if exposed by these issues. You'll probably get more out of your car when it's time to sell if the outside (especially the paint) is in good condition.

The air filter may not seem to be an important part of your engine care. This simple service will save you money. Gas mileage and performance are directly impaired by a bad filter. Neil's Finance Plaza says to change it at least once a year or when it looks dirty.

Anytime you have headlights or tail lights that are dim or broken it's a good idea to replace them. When it gets cold outside many people have just one headlight go out. It is recommended that you replace both headlights together according to Neil's Finance Plaza. It'll make sure you have two lights the same brightness.

Maybe you know a lot about cars but it is still wise to take your car in to an auto technician every once in a while to make sure it's actually in good shape. For this reason Neil's Finance Plaza recommends you take your car in for regular tune ups, and take advantage if your state requires you to have cars inspected every couple of years. This is an easy way to stop a problem before it gets out of hand or dangerous.

One last auto maintenance suggestion from Neil's Finance Plaza relates to your spark plugs. The life source of your vehicle, the motor, demands correct sparking from the plugs to run properly. If the plugs or wires aren't operating at 100 percent then neither will your car. This makes your car's overall performance decrease significantly. For those who own older cars or trucks you should change your plugs and wires once every year or two based on wear and tear. Newer autos have upgraded their ignition systems and may call for a good deal less maintenance. You should always be certain you check your users guide to be sure that you're doing everything appropriately.

Applying these simple tips from Neil's Finance Plaza will surely equip you to get many good years from your vehicle. They're often not difficult or expensive to accomplish. The most difficult thing is often just remembering to do them.
