So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Pairing The Bridal Gown With The Right Shoes

By Aaron Grablowski

When a woman has found the perfect wedding dress, it does not mean that she is going to stop there. What comes next is finding the equally perfect pair of wedding shoes to make the attire complete. With so many choices presented to them, some women do not even know where to start looking. What is important is to make sure that the shoe matches the gown.

In real life it is hard to come by a true prince, so instead, women fantasize over having the perfect pair of crystal shoes for their wedding day. Of course, this is only a small portion of all the details that a woman needs to perfect while her groom, well, nods for the most part.

The best shoes are the ones covered in silk. If in need to go for the cheaper ones, those made with polyester matte crepe or satin are available at lower prices. They can even be dyed and are popular choices for the bridesmaids to wear purely because they are capable of serving as ideal finishing touches to the outfit without taking too much attention from the bride on her special day.

Modern gowns are best paired with a slight platform and bold detailing to get an edgier look. Another critical thing to consider in choosing a bridal shoe is the fabric. The gown looks best with the shoes when their fabrics complement each other. With a gown made of silk, the best shoe to look for a pump or sandal that is also made of the same material. When the gown is made of matte fabrics such as chiffon, shoes with non-shiny crepe fabric is the best option.

The chosen pair of bridal shoes has a lot of demanding criteria that it has to meet. Besides matching the gown, it also needs to be durable enough to withstand a long day as the bride will be probably be going back and forth on the wedding day. The shoes need to be the perfect to make sure that the bride makes the most out of her wedding day, taking pictures, standing during the ceremony, dancing, and even going around the reception hall. For maximum comfort, a pair of lowered heels can be worn. Even when the bride has worn heels her entire life, it is still better to make sure that comfort comes first. In case of an outdoor wedding, it is a good idea to wear a shoe with a wide heel in order to avoid being stuck on the grass.
