So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

What Positive Impacts Come From Sports Providing Meatless Food Options?

By Rob Sutter

The news recently broke about Wrigley Field providing meatless food options to those in its audiences and I am all in favor for this picking up in other areas. To me, no one should be left out and there should be choices which include everyone regardless of their dietary lifestyles. One can only imagine that there are so many benefits can come from it. If this movement is popular in this particular area, who's to say that the benefits wouldn't travel to other venues?

1. It allows more people to be involved with the events as they attend them. You can only imagine just how much people are left out thanks to a lack of meatless food options that can exist at baseball games, for example. While there are items which don't have meat in them, these are mostly considered snacks and not food which you can consider substantial. The fact that vegetarian varieties are being seen more is a positive for companies along the lines of Quorn.

2. Healthy living comes greatly from the food you take into your diet. I think that eating better has become an item of greater importance these days and I would like to think that there'd be more careful selection as far as that idea is concerned. For example, are as many carbs going to be consumed now as they were a decade or so ago? With more meatless options coming along, items with high saturated fats may just be cast aside by a number of patrons.

3. It could potentially drive those who aren't vegetarian to utilize them. If there's one thing that can be said about people in general, it's that curiosity is one of the bigger driving forces that you could potentially imagine. These meals could be ones that are incorporated again and again by those who haven't taken up vegetarian lifestyles. I also believe that, if used enough, it can convince a number of other venues to work them into the menus provided at concession stands, detailing what is available.

Meatless food options appear to be more popular these days than in the past and I think that the fact that they are seen at live events more often says volumes. People know that going about these diets can result in better stints of health. While this is true, not everyone is going to be as committed and may feel like they aren't suited for them. Nonetheless, the products associated with them deserve to be utilized, to promote healthy and exciting events if nothing else.
