So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Top Tips On How To Choose The Best Elegant Diamond Rings Possible

By Teri Farley

Diamonds always look beautiful. In fact, even the cheapest ones out there can look classy and elegant. If you want to buy a diamond ring as elegant as the one in your dreams, then it would be vital to find a fine setting first. This setting will determine if the end result will be worth your money. Your choice of setting would be incredibly vital, though, because you usually don't get second chances when buying elegant diamond rings.

One choice that you will have in terms of settings would be a three-stone setting. In this case, there will be two small diamonds next to a diamond in the middle of the final jewelry piece. You will have your choice of settings and metals when it comes to this, too.

Other women would rather choose classic solitaire settings, though, with 4 prongs, 6 prongs, bezel settings or cathedral settings. Generally speaking, there are many solitaire settings out there. The more prongs there are, though, the safer the sets will be. You don't want to lose your gemstone because of a broken prong, do you? As such, you definitely need to think about this when choosing a setting.

When buying diamonds, it would also be vital to buy certified gemstones. Certified gemstones are those that have been evaluated by independent professionals and come with a quality rating in terms of their cut, clarity, carats and color. This would be the best way to end up with a top quality gemstone.

The next thing you will need to consider would be the ring's overall longevity. A lot of women make the mistake of choosing a certain style that is in trend at the moment without thinking about whether it will still be in style a few years from now. If you plan on marrying someone for the long haul, though, then a classic style would usually be the better choice when it comes to this.

Practicality would be another important factor to consider. If you plan on wearing it at all times, including the times when you are doing chores or other jobs, then you have to check out the ring's strength and sturdiness and find out how much it will actually be able to take in that department.

Another thing to take into consideration would be the wedding band's metal. Some women like how yellow gold looks, while other women like white gold better. Some women don't even like gold at all and rather choose platinum, which is quite popular nowadays. You also have the option to get a combination of metals, such as two-tone gold. This will depend on your personal preference, though.

Either way, it would be vital for you to look for something that will match with the rest of your jewelry pieces at home. Also, decide whether you want to get a branded ring or not. After all, while elegant diamond rings do exist for cheap; it can be nice to flaunt branded rings, too.
