So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

A Special Offer When It Comes To The Best Hair Removal Cream.

By Roderich Pollack

Shaving of all hair removal methods shaving is the most common and probably the oldest that we will discuss here.Virtual everyone uses a shaver at some time, whether male or female. It is the cheapest and simplest method of removing unwanted body hair but it is also almost certainly the most temporary of all methods.

Both in the media and on the street, an obvious example is how many males and females are into head shaving. At the pool or the beach, and even on neighborhood basketball courts, it's much more common to see males with smooth and hairless chests and backs. And even a few without armpit or leg hair.

And if you think about it, males in the media advertising underwear and fitness equipment don't have any body hair. They have it removed because the current fashion in this society is for males to be hairless.

There is an old myth that shaving makes the hair follicles regrow thicker. It is generally accepted that this is not the case. Hair can be best described as thick at the point where it exits the skin and tapers towards the tip. When hair is chopped off at the skin it immediately starts regrowing from its thickest point. This is why hair feels more stubbly and thicker when it has been shaven rather than waxed.

Facial hair was the mark of a slave or servant, or of a person of lower class. The ancient Egyptians used a form of razors made of flint or bronze as the razor was not invented till the 1760's by French barber, Jean Jacques Perret.

That's why when body builders are getting their body ready for competition, they use some type of hair removal. And because there is such a growing trend towards complete body hair removal these days, we look to body builders and other athletes for information about the best way to accomplish it.

Waxing can be carried out in the privacy of your own home using over the counter products that come in various forms. Pre-impregnated wax strips can be bought that are simply heated in the hand prior to applying and then firmed against the skin before pulling off.

After the mid 90s, body builders began relying on laser hair removal treatments. But that didn't really work out so well.Partly because the high cost of the treatments took a big chunk of their competition winnings, but mostly because their entire body couldn't be made completely hairless in one session, or even two or three. So there was the time factor.

Then there were the unsavory side effects of swelling, redness and maybe even some blistering, that often kept body builders from competitions, even if they completed the treatments well ahead of time. When people started coming up with scars - that was pretty much it.

Electrolysis. Electrolysis is the slowest but potentially the most permanent hair removal method when performed by a skilled practitioner. Electrolysis involves inserting a tiny thin metal probe into hair follicles. Electricity is passed into the follicle through the probe, which then damages the hair growth area. Electrolysis has the advantage of being safe and very effective, but it is very slow to perform and thus not particularly well suited to large areas from a cost point of view.

Electrolysis is still the only proven permanent method of hair removal and many women and indeed many men, have benefited from this tried and trusted treatment. It is often the case that electrologists are privileged to witness a dramatic transformation in their clients, from a shy, introverted personality at the beginning of a course of treatments, to a confident and happy individual once treatment is underway and results become apparent.

Electrolysis has some of the worst temporary side effects - Swelling, redness, pinpoint scabbing and skin discoloration, and worse, the possible permanent effects of skin discoloration and scarring.

After getting laser hair removal in San Diego it can be said that it is expensive but no more than other cities. Of all methods of hair removal, laser hair removal is the most long lasting and costly. This is not surprising being that it is at the cutting edge of hair removal technology.

Waxing basically involves applying a warmed taffy like substance to the hairs in an area, then cloth strips, all of which are allowed a moment to cool and adhere to the hairs and then the strips are very quickly removed, pulling the hairs out by their roots. Obviously, this hair removal method is pretty painful, so a topical anesthetic is recommended. But that's not the real problem. The real problem is that while the wax is adhering to the hairs, unfortunately, it's also adhering to the skin. Which means when the cloth strips are yanked off, sometimes so is some of the skin. Understandably, this leads to some swelling, rawness and redness.

Usually, if waxing is done several days ahead of time and they stay out of direct sunlight, a body builder's skin is able to heal for competition. Usually ... There have been some complications such as infected ingrown hairs and other infections that have left scars.
