So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How To Cook Cajun Eggs

By Elena McDowell

Making Cajun eggs is actually very simple because the ingredients are not that many and the procedure is actually quite simple and straightforward. Not only is this dish extremely easy to make but it is also really delicious when it has finally been made already. So if one is actually a good cook and enjoys experimenting with new types of recipes, then maybe he should try making this simple yet very stunning dish that can satisfy a lot of palates.

Now for some of the ingredients, there has to be around eight to nine eggs, one whole stick of butter, a few of green onions, few bell peppers, a cup of milk, and crawfish tails. Aside from the basic ingredients, there also should be some Cajun seasoning which will be one of the main ingredients here. Of course if one would want, he may even put some hot sauce.

Now the very first step would be the grab the stick of butter or maybe margarine and put it inside a pan. Usually people would be using oil in this process but butter will be able to give the egg dish more flavor and make it have a nicer texture. Once it is in the pan, let it stay there for a while until it is melted and can be used as the oil of the dish.

Next thing to do would be to chop the green onions and the bell peppers and dump them into the frying pan. Once they are dumped in, saute the two ingredients together until they become both fragrant and soft. Preferably, they should be sauteed for around five minutes.

When the two vegetables are done sauteing after the five minutes, then the next thing to do would be to dump in the crawfish tails. Always remember that in order to see if the crawfish tails are already cooked, they have to turn light pink first. This would take about one to two minutes to cook.

Next, grab a small bowl and dump in nine to ten eggs along with the cup of milk and the seasoning. When that is done, whisk the egg, milks, and seasoning together until they get mixed. When everything has all been mixed in the bowl, pour it in the pan and scramble the whole thing.

One thing to remember would be to cook the egg on a medium fire and not a high one or low one. Putting it on a high fire would get the egg burned up. On the other hand, the low fire will not allow the egg to be cooked properly as it will not be formed.

After the scrambling has been properly done, one now has a complete dish of Cajun eggs. As started above, if he likes it a little extra spicy, then he can put some hot sauce over the eggs so that the exotic dish can have a little bit more kick. If he does not like it to be too hot, then he may opt not to put the hot sauce.
