So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Some Healthy Engine Tips Provided By Lincoln Park Auto Repair Company

By Allan Bigarda

If you have just passed your driving test you will probably feel confident in your driving abilities. But how much do you remember about maintaining your new car? Some regular checks and simple maintenance will improve the safety of your vehicle and reduce the cost of servicing. These healthy engine tips provided by Lincoln Park Auto Repair Company will show you how easy it is.

During the practical test you should have been asked to describe how to check the engine oil level. If you are unsure or have forgotten how to do this then read on as low oil levels can cause serious damage. Luckily this is a really quick and easy process.

You should begin by running the engine to warm up the oil. A short drive will be enough to do this. Now park the car on an even surface to make sure the measurement is accurate. Before performing the check wait a few minutes for the engine to cool.

Now remove the dipstick from oil tank and wipe it clean with an old cloth. Take a note of where the minimum and maximum levels are marked and replace it in the tank. Remove it once more and check the level of the oil. Any where between the minimum and maximum is fine.

The second check you should do is the coolant. This is a liquid that gets pumped round the engine to stop it overheating. It is advised to check this before taking any long trips and at least twice a month. The overheating that results from a lack of coolant can also cause serious damage.

This should also be performed on a cool engine. The coolant is found in a small transparent tank that has the maximum and minimum levels marked on the side. As you can see through it you can check this just by looking at it. As you can see these two healthy engine tips provided by Lincoln Park Auto Repair are very simple. Doing them regularly keeps your car running smoothly and can prevent costly repairs in the future.
