So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Discover How To Keep Your Car Healthy

By Kenya File

Today's automobiles are important investments. To receive the best return on your investment you should take as good a care of your car as possible. Here are a few useful tips from your Lincoln Park auto repair shop, to keep you on the road longer.

Change engine oil often. Some manufacturers state that car owners can wait 7500 miles or so between oil changes. This may not be a good idea if you have a smaller car. Small engines must work much harder than larger ones and develop a lot of internal heat from friction. If you change oil at 4000 miles or less, the motor will stay cleaner and have fewer contaminants.

Older cars need more attention so you need to pop the hood and check the oil about once a week. An older vehicle is more likely to leak oil or other engine fluids, so keep an extra quart of oil in your car. Never depend on warning lights as when they flash, it might be too late.

Check your tires at least once a month. When tires are properly inflated, you will get better gas mileage and a smoother ride. Also, look for signs of uneven or unusual tire wear. If one side of a front tire is wearing more, you may have a front end or suspension problem which can lead to future breakdowns.

Once every month, perform a simple service check. Make sure that the horn is working and all the brake lights are functional. Also, check turn signals, headlights, tail lights, and backup lights. It is easier if you have a helper inside the car as you check.

If you have little time for automotive maintenance, take the car to your local garage. You will receive prompt oil changes and vital inspections. Your Lincoln Park auto repair company is there to help insure the safety and performance of all your vehicles.
