So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Have A Fantastic Bali Holiday With A Rental Car Bali

By Marissa Velazquez

Bali, Indonesia has been the favorite destination of many tourists for the past years because of the interesting blend of traditional and the modern in it. It may be the smallest province of the country, but it has so many to offer, from its wonderful sunsets to the museums and the shopping centers. What could make the trip to Bali really worthwhile is a rental car Bali that could actually make your trip easier and more convenient.

If it is your first time to visit Bali, you may be tempted to just sign up on a tour package and go where your tour guide takes you. However, if you are the adventurous type and would rather explore the island by yourself, it will be a good idea to rent a car. You would have a more unique experience, absorbing all that the island has to offer at a more relaxed pace.

The first thing to do before you even consider hiring a car is to make sure you have an international driving license. You could then drive anywhere in Indonesia, but if you do not have one, you could still drive around by getting a tourist driving permit from Denpasar, the capital city. You would be allowed to drive around Bali for a month using this permit.

If you have not obtained this permit, then you must go with a car rental company that also offers drivers in their price package. To find a trusted rental company, simply ask your hotel concierge once you arrive in Bali and they would surely have someone to recommend to you. Most car rent companies leave their brochures or calling cards in the hotel desk so you could actually make a choice in terms of prices and cars available.

Remember that language may be a problem driving anywhere in Indonesia, so find out from the car rental company if their drivers speak English. You wouldn't want to have problems communicating with your driver so make it a requirement that your driver speaks English. Most of the car rental companies have drivers who are used to driving foreigners around and who could carry out a good conversation in English.

Remember also that unlike some countries, traffic in Indonesia is on the left side. So if you are more familiar with driving on the right side, you may have some difficulty adjusting. In such cases, it is really better to hire a car with a competent driver who knows all the traffic rules and regulations. Find out also what hours would be very busy to avoid traffic jams.

Before accepting the rental car, check if it is in top shape, meaning all the pedals, especially the brake pedal works. A test drive may be necessary to see if all systems work, including the AC. It would also be smart to check for dents so that you would not be blamed for these once you return the car to the company.

Lastly, make sure that rent price already includes insurance. If not, pay an extra fee, which is often minimal, but would give you some protection you may need in case you figure in an accident. Make your time in Indonesia truly enjoyable and less stressful by using a rental car Bali.
